Packers caught a bad break with that dam blocked extra point which the Cowboys recovered for a safety.

Seems BS like that always comes back to haunt ya. 😒

Ended up. making a few hundred for the weekend, I put in some silly multi leg parlay that ended up. winning since Green Bay and Dallas had an extra quarter to. play defenseless football so I made up $70 worth of dart throws

    Great weekend all around

Considering that Drake Maye is improving and the Patriots are improving, that +175 passing yards at only -120 seems like a gift.

I'm not sure what the computer was "thinking" on that one? Seems to me that was a huge edge in the bettors favor. I didn't follow the game. But since it was a live bet, I guess Maye got off to a slow start. However it was quite logical he would eventually get it in gear against a Carolina.

Confirms my thought process that the best values are in live betting.

Brewers sure aren't getting much love from the books, considering their regular season record. Usually not a good sign.

  • bgrbgr Posts: 2,971 ✭✭✭✭✭

I don’t expect the Brewers to get past the first game after seeing these odds.

really disgusting past two days for me. lost a bet on Sat because one leg of a "special" (10-point) teaser pushed, which honestly i was unaware of. had i waited even 15 minutes longer it would have been a winner because the line was nudged in the direction i needed it to.

then last night the Packers bent me over without a drop of vaseline for a second consecutive week. had i teased that bet 6.5 i would've pushed and won a little loot. had i teased it 7 it would have been an outright winner. but alas, i only moved it 6 because i assumed the Green Bay Packers could beat the shitty Dallas Cowboys without their best wideout (Lamb). especially after vomiting all over themselves the week prior to the...........wait for it..........Cleveland Browns. but you know what happens when you assume.......you make an ass out of u and me.

and Green Bay had another special teams gaffe, like last week

and Jordan Love gifted a crap team with a free touchdown deep in his own end of the field to let them back in the game, like last week

and the Packers' defense allowed Dallas to score 38 points from the 1:00 mark in the 2nd quarter until the end of overtime

someone fill my head full of lead

rant over. feels cathartic to get that out of my system. onward. i actually feel good about this one below, but after last weekend i should feel good about absolutely nothing

Had Georgia won on Saturday I would have snagged a $1100 win

Only game in that play I lost 🤬

I think it's cheaper to post here than laying on a psychiatrist couch after a ridiculous bad beat.

I'm guessing the cost per post here is around one cent worth of electricity. While the psychiatrist is $250 an hour. Besides, the psychiatrist might say he also lost that game. Then what the yell do you do?

  • bgrbgr Posts: 2,971 ✭✭✭✭✭

It didn't help having Wyatt go out in the late 2nd quarter with a knee injury. After the Packers traded Clark they became very thin in an already thin interior defensive line. I'm a believer that, on defense, everything starts with interior pressure and the Pack is undersized and undermanned there - and they were when Clark was on the roster.

Just off the cuff, I'd be surprised if they did offer it. I think a lot of bettors might confuse that wager with simply a tie score at the end of regulation.

If a team then wins in overtime, the bettor sure would be hissed off about not getting paid.

My par had 3 ML which won,but my over pick was a push at 43 in the Minn/AZ game so the bet was watered down to 8-5. Still collected just not what could been.

    Heads up:

    Pasted:

"Polymarket is re-entering the US after acquiring the derivatives exchange QCX and receiving a CFTC no-action letter, clearing its regulatory hurdles. The platform is preparing for a full relaunch by mid-December 2025, with a new focus on company earnings forecasts, following earlier regulatory issues and a 2022 settlement with the CFTC that required the company to exit the US market."

My guess is that the increased competition will be good for the players. More comps, better odds, etc.

Well my combined NFL and college football profit for the season is up 16% thus far. So I figure i'll give some of it back with a MLB bet today.

I like the Tigers ML in the 1:00 game.

Skubal had 14 k's. But i didn't think at all about a strikeout prop. I didn't even look at it. Sure would have been nice.

Still happy because the sports betting gods don't like it when ya complain after a win. 🙂

I lost $50 on the Tribe, I was going to bet the Sox but didn't

Had I won that it would have gone on the Sox but that's the way it goes.

I'm being stingy on my baseball bets, it cost me today

If the Reds can scrape together 2 runs I will win a $100, got a parlay going and everything hit already except the Reds runs so far 🤞🏼

    Dodger ML

Guardians look interesting today, but I just can't seem to pull the trigger on it.

Too much of a coin flip in my opinion, and I don't bet on what I think are coin flips.

Would like to see the Red Sox knock-out the Yankees. However that looks like another coin flip game. So it will be rooting interest only for me. LOL

I'm a homer that's sorta why I tossed the Sox in my play, being honest the smart play would be the Yankees so I'm happy to see the Sox lose but for only 2 things though

    1- You win your bet
    2-The Sox win game 3

    Best of luck brother

I don't think this has any meaningful significance, but it's interesting to me that only about 20% of the Wild Card series we have had have gone to a Game 3.

With this line of thinking, we got Cleveland and it's looking like the Padres series will go 3

I think the Dodgers are a straight lock to get it done tonight.

Will the Sox bump off NY???

My parlay is looking good if the Padres win, my obvious biggest stressor is the Sox

I might hedge and put some Yankee money in IDK

you just connected on the first two legs, and it appears as if the Dodgers have a badass on the mound tonight thus i don't foresee them losing, so for the first time in perhaps forever i'm actually rooting against a team i bet on :D

I'm. just posting the winners,, there are too many losers to post which would take up the whole page

Long story short, the Yankees destroyed my parlay which I'm fine with because it was only $20 and my friend @galaxy27 had NY so his parlay is safe

I looked at hedging the Yankees but the ML was ridiculous and there was no chance I was going to do the -1.5 run line to get positive money and endure another loss if it was a one run game like it freaking was.

So I got cute and dressed up the team total runs for both squads with a $100 spread out in 20 dollar bets on over 4.5 runs all the way to 6.5 runs scored for both teams which would have paid me over $300

Math is not my strong point but none of those bets win since it was 4 to 3

Annoyed I said screw it and hammered another $100 on the Dodgers to score over 5.5 runs all the way to over 9.5 runs scored.

They scored me 8 so I won enough to get back $199, so my net loss for the day was $21, I'll take it

When the Reds scored at the top of the first inning and were up 2-0, the Dodgers ML went to -122. I couldn't resist, and popped the Dodgers ML again.

I thought the Dodgers would take the lead at the bottom of the inning, they didn't, and had me worried for a few innings. But they finally scored and came through.

Been doing very well so far in these MLB playoffs. I needed it after the NBA playoffs killed me.

Frankly, I was surprised the books computer changed the odds that much. I got the original pre-game bet in at -275. When I looked at it after the Reds finished their half-inning, I figured considering since the Dodgers had like lock odds at home, with all their 9 innings yet to bat, it might go down to say -240 or something. When I saw the -122 I couldn't believe it, and had to jump on it.

If I could get a juicy situation like that every day, I'd quit my day job. LOL

The line on that Browns-Vikings game continues to baffle me. I've been doing lines for a long time, and it's really not that hard to get close with the bookies line if ya know the teams and understand the game.

Of course there's no home field advantage in this game and I figured it would open up around Vikings -5.5 maybe -6. It opened up Vikings -3.5

But all that was before the announcement of Flacco being benched for the rookie kid. The line had to change on that info right? I mean if the line should have been say -5.5, I would have thought it would then move to maybe -7.5, maybe a bit more?

The -3.5 Vikings seems like the bet of the year. But that's what worries me when it looks too dam good. LOL
