I have owned these for quite a long time and I am mulling which auction house is the best for them. I have never sold a coin through an auction house, I have only sold privately. So If anyone has had any experience with which auction house they were happy with please pm me.

Having a Stormio Boost on this beautiful SF Bay Area Saturday. I keep saying I don’t do much with IHC RD’s anymore, but this makes 3 new ones over the past couple months:
This beautiful coin is pedigreed to one of the all time great IHC collectors, Dr. Alan Epstein. Fully brilliant lustrous RD that’s virtually mark free, it’s hard to believe any of the 4 examples graded MS67 have much, if anything, over this piece. CAC, with EEPS to follow.

Today is a little bit of a different coin for me. It's been a long time since I've had any Bust Quarters in the stable, much less a a Small-sized one. years in fact, Many years.The coins I liked in the Stack's sale of Steve Tompkins Quarters almost all went for what I thought was strong to very strong money, and I got blown out on more than a few lots. I was glad to come away with this one, especially as I am a bit of a VLDS lover, and a certified "crack addict".

From the Stack's-Bowers Sale1834 Capped Bust Quarter. B-1, FS-901. Rarity-1. O/F in OF. Tompkins Die Stage 5/5. Die State b. NGC AU58, ex-Reiver
A richly and originally toned example awash in a bold blend of golden-gray and steely-charcoal with underlying iridescence of champagne-gold and powder blue. The fields glow with softly frosted luster as the coin dips into a light, while a boldly to sharply executed strike is easy to appreciate at all viewing angles. Handsome Choice AU quality for this very late state of the 1834 Browning-1 pairing, both sides with extensive cracks, the obverse with multiple sets of clash marks, and the reverse severely lapped to efface the repunching in the legend, which simultaneously weakened several peripheral features, most noticeably the letter M in AMERICA and the olive branch. The reverse is rotated approximately 30 degrees clockwise from normal coin alignment.

Well, here we go with what are some attractive and rare coins, but Darkside. These are avidly collected and for some reason the Mexican mint hugely cut mintages for this year with these even in the larger bullion 5 oz format up to the 20,000 range.

Got the 90 mins in on my Peloton. Time to drink and work on getting ready for the Great American show this week. The list of dealers is outstanding.
I had a lot of luck the last two weeks and will be meeting up with some dealers to pick up coins (no delivery anxiety this time around).

Just got this 12/1 back from crossover service. Was an NGC 61. It was in an older holder that was scuffed up and you couldn’t really see the coin. It looks great in the new holder. The pics aren’t the best but I actually screenshotted them from a video I posted to IG
It’s taken me forever to find a 12/1 I’d be happy with.

Yeah, your images are terrible but what a great coin!.
Just got my office and studio area re-setup after new carpet, blinds, paint, etc, etc. Decided I'd try to get a shot or two from some of the NEWP's from OKC.This was the earliest date and the lowest grade coin I brought home. No real history I can find, but she's an attractive piece in hand. Part of a group of AU50's and 53's that I really appreciate owning.

Great day coming today. My daughter is home from school to visit for the weekend. Also have some friends coming by later. Gonna grill and stuff our necks with some tasty foods.Started the day with this weeks newp and a cup of my favorite bean.

Been looking for this date for over 5 years (daily searching) in any grade (only 4 ever graded by NGC: 2 authentic and 2 numerical). Well it finally happened and received the coin in hand. This series is 1732-1771 milled 1 reales Mexico. By far the rarest dates been 1732 and 1771. Cost me a few hundred dollars for those unaware of the prices of some of these type of coins.

Good morning to all, and Happy Saturday. Up early today, taking in caffeine. Trying to get energized for my 90 minute ride.
I was going to try and take photos of the two coins I picked up Thursday at the Great American Coin show but I could not do them justice. I will have to use Phil's photos (EAC). My hope is to write up a show report at some point this weekend. For me it was a great show and has been an outstanding couple of weeks (those that text with me know why
)These two came out of the KC Collection at EAC. The minute I saw them I knew I had to have them. I messaged Phil, called Phil, emailed Phil and then texted @pursuitofliberty
In hand these are just spectacular coins. I am extremely happy to have them in my CBH collection.

Thanks @EastonCollection I was lucky to have his site open and email open when it hit. Called within a minute of receiving the email. He had already sold another one I was interested in. I saw the 1815/2 P58 at the Show this week. That is a crazy coin.

Just enjoying this common date seated half that surprised me by being problem-free. Its color caught my attention, but I was concerned that it may have been dipped or wiped in the past. Because of a lack of slabbed 1856-Os available in the marketplace at the time, I decided to buy it to take a closer look. It turns out that there were some scattered hairlines, but no rash of parallel lines to indicate cleaning. The lighter patch on the reverse showed no hairlining. Therefore, as much as I expected some problem with this coin, it turned out to be OK. So, I decided to submit it along with other low-value, questionable coins to CACG to have them slabbed and get a better understanding of CAC's grading.

I'm delighted with the results for this coin but puzzled over the rejection of another that I felt was a gem. Until they can show me the problems with my choice XF Texas (there were no notes from the graders), I'll assume they made a mistake.

This is an unissued medal from the Inter Collegiate Athletic Association, designed by Charles Barber in 1876. His signature is on the pedestal below the athlete's left foot. I haven't seen many of these around.

I think this might surprise a lot of people, but I was never a fan of that '76. I much prefer Eldo's '79 and '82.
