I wish I had the photographic skills these coins deserve. I can get details or I can get color...just not both.

If you can only get the details or the color, why not show the color? After all, the thread title is
    “Amazingly toned Bust Halves”.

Turned out to be a cool thread. Nice coins. I have a bust half on my list. I want to add a nice original AU. I'm going to hold out for something nice original color.

I know nothing about this series, but I need one! Any affordable dates to keep an eye out for in AU/CAC?

Your most likely type coin candidates should be those from 1830 through 1836.

AU and CAC CBH are hot right now and very expensive, relatively speaking. Be picky and find one that looks original and has nice surfaces.

Lots of 1820s and 30s coins can be found in AU grades for between $500-1000.

I don't like a lot of toned coins, but this one I had to have.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

Oops LOL ! I updated it to the correct coin, I named the pair "The Sisters", they managed to stay together through two separate auctions houses and I have no plans on splitting them up anytime soon. They are both CAC approved but sadly only the 1834 received a + grade.

Those coins are gorgeous! Were they in a Heritage sale? The 1835 looks very familiar.
