And how many V75 coins have since been melted down for their gold content?
At ~$20K each? Approximately 0. What's your point?
I saw a few listings the other day for $25.5k
Understood. My point was that, after an immediate flip at around $10K, they immediately sped up to around $20K. To the great consternation of those who consider anything the Mint currently puts out to be nothing more than overpriced bullion.
Which I assume was @RichR's point in asking how many were subsequently melted after the great chase to obtain them. That obviously happens with some things, like First Spouse coins that were hot when first released, with spot gold trading at a fraction of where it does today.
But it never happened with V75 AGEs, that, with a mintage of 1945, never lost their significant premium to spot. Never.

I missed out on those. I wasn't paying attention and I didn't buy anything from the mint, or anyone for that matter, since 2018.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.

No worries. As you might imagine, with a mintage of 1945, most of us missed out on them.

I checked every day for a month before I almost had a heart attack and the V75 gold showed up for a few minutes. Keep it up 👍💰
You had to trigger my PTSD from that day again. I checked EVERY day except that one. I was out caulking the driveway when u lucky Dawgs were partaking of one of the biggest ever scores. I still remember one of the lucky buyers saying is this for real? Was it really that easy? Omg. Ill never forget that.
At least I did get one through my persistence & luck. It was a 70. So, I shouldn't complain. But missing that ONE morning was so frustrating.
Maybe I’m missing something but what does that coin have to do with the Army? I have the Army Medal produced by the Mint. It clear depicts what the medal is about…
There is nothing on this new coin that tells me it’s connected with the U.S. Army.
Edit: I missed the tiny circle lol
The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin
If that’s all the recognition they’re going to give the Army the can keep it lol

advanved release - special dealers that qualify to buy before the official release date - they pay a premium on those purchases
first day of issue - self explanatory except that only bulk dealers/big time submitters can get it
first strike - anyone can get it and it is like shipped within the first 30 days post official release date
ar > fdoi > fs and you'll see it moneywise
Doesn't seem fair that bulk dealers can arrange special deals with the mint, especially on items with limited mintages such as this. I thought the mint was about We the People but in the end, I guess $$$ always wins. THKS!
Hope I am able/available to get the Marine Corps one when it launches. SMPR!

Well, yeah! The prediction of 20K bad orders was always nothing more than internet nonsense.
We had a substantial ~1500 coin dump on Saturday, and that was pretty much par for the course. There might be a few stragglers, but there won't be any mass customer initiated cancellations based on secondary market action.
So yeah, they're really done. The HHL is still 1, so there is nothing to see for anyone who already got one.
Someone who didn't, and wants one, and doesn't want to pay ~$200 for one, can continue to knock themselves out at 7:30 a.m., and again at noon, to see if anything pops up. Lot of squeeze for tiny bit of juice for anyone who didn't have a few minutes to grab one during the 3.5 hours they were available last Friday as far as I am concerned.
@RichR said:
So since the first day sale...have only about 300 coins become available (on the Saturday after the original sale)?
Is that about right...or have I missed something?
You missed the fact that they went out in two waves that Saturday, and around 1500 coins in total were made available. They were actually up for quite a few minutes.
But, with the HHL of 1 still in effect, that didn't do much for most of us. I think a few might have popped up for a nanosecond the following Sunday and/or Monday, but the action was on Saturday, involving far more than 300 coins, and is now over.
Since they haven't shipped yet, nothing is being returned. it's reasonable to conclude that most if not all invalid orders or bad credit card orders would have been purged by now, so it's hard to see where future releases will come from, unless the Mint does another, more intensive review prior to shipping.
I wouldn't hold my breath. It's not like the V75 AGE. People had 3.5 hours to get one last Friday, and a few minutes the next day.
It's a double on a $100 coin. Easily obtainable in quantity on eBay if someone can't live without one. Hardly worth devoting one's life to stalking the Mint's website to see if they ever appear again.

And there is also "advance tarnish, first day of spotting, and first milk stain" I prefer the "blast white" versions over any special label. Don't forget, many are available with special autographed labels as well by people you may not know, like forward press operator or certified quality inspector.

We will see. I have seen drops 1-2 weeks after initial sale of several thousand coins.
Cancellation notices have been mailed to those who tried to exceed HHL on day one and two.

fyi the camo one is also signed
no longer a coin for the enlisted
I'm pretty sure all of them will be PCGS Deep Cameo or NGC Ultra Cameo.
http://ProofCollection.Net
camouflage not cameo
At least that's what the label will say.
I did buy one which I will keep raw as I am still struggling with my addiction to shiny silver coins.
Nothing this morning. HHL still listed as 1
12 o'clock came and went....still HHL 1 🤔
Some very cool videos on this very special 250th Anniversary U.S. Army ASE.

Very COOL GOLDBULLY !!! Thanks for posting the videos !
I bet those stamps will mirror the privy marks too.
They are the official logos...
I guess we now wait until noon to finish off the scraps.
7:30 come and gone.
No "scraps" today!
12:01 didn't see any available.
Nothing loaded into the online store....ats=0

If you look closely, the privy mark has an even smaller privy mark above the Eagle's head.
Question: Is this "Advanced Release" better than "First Release" or whatever I purchased on "opening day"?
Question #2 how does BE already have them in stock to buy now when they aren't even shipping to us the sheeple for another 45-60 days?
THKS!

Read the fine print in the middle of the ad by the small square box: it’s a pre-sale and won’t possibly ship till after August 13, 2025. 😉
ar orderers get them on a scale of days, not months, before official release date
oh, and you know these spot up. what are you going to do with a expensive labeled coin that later develops a spot or three?
I believe the Mint has addressed the milk spot problem on ASE proofs with better 'rinsing' procedures.
Now of course, I could be wrong in that assessment.
even if it is not a milk spot they can grow brown ones
'Chocolate" milk spots?? Couldn't resist!! ☺️
on the 5oz P pucks... they had chocolate milk spots. i'm serious. no dipping would make a difference.
but for these ase proofs i'm talking uber tarnish. you know

"Fall"
As of 6/1/2021, I've had successful BST transactions with: gowithmygut, AlanLastufka, Coinlearner, CXD, tommyrusty7, Coinflip, nurmaler, firstspousecoins
I guess I’ll save my Army and get all 3 and keep them sealed. I will be able to enjoy a set of 3 boxes.
Prices for raw are now about $250 on Ebay.
