Waiting in line for hours for a haircut ?
Join the Army. It’s only ten minutes.
If anyone was ever in the Army (especially) or any service, they are very much used to the term, "Hurry Up, and WAIT!".
I was, and I did. And I have a nephew who did and a niece who is, and just commissioned a few weeks ago. I was her “ first salute”. Too bad I didn’t get one of these instead of a 1921 Morgan.
Now, about that haircut
Friday the 13th got me. Didn’t recognize my log in even clicked on forgot password and changed it. Let me log in add to cart then wanted me to log in again. Didn’t recognize again. Bought one as a guest.

Did you ship to the same address? That's why it says "house hold limit" not "account limit" or similar. They will cancel these, or I will be disappointed if they don't.

I figured out my problem. It’s been so long I forgot my log in was a name not my email. I thought I had a choice so used email it didn’t like that. I had my password written down and figured I’m smart enough to remember the name…I’m not.

Ok, I'm losing my mind over here trying to figure out how to see what's left. I know someone explained it to me back in '21, but for the life of me, I can't find any references here in the forms.

I was in the queue just before 9:00 West Coast time, queue started at 9 hours, then went to 7 hours, then 30 minutes, then 'Time to Buy' within 15 minutes. Got me the "1" coin I was allowed to purchase, checked out, all by 9:25. Maybe I got lucky.

Same here. After resetting my password I was sent back to the waiting room. After logging in it had all my info from 2017! I had to reset my address & credit card and then it still took 3 tries to get the order to go through. Crazy, I order from the mint a couple of times every year and have never had this problem.
I'm expecting a lot of cancellations for these as many tried to skirt the rules (it sounds) so opportunity is still there when the mint culls through the orders..
After thinking about it for a time, I went ahead and ordered one at 10:50 MDT (12;50 EDT), without a hitch, just eight minutes in the waiting room according to the clock. The payment information was dated, so I entered my current card number and all went just fine. The confirmation of order receipt came in at 11:00 MDT. Much better than during the pandemic to be sure. This one, which will be the only one, will stay in its' original government packaging.
When I went back to the website for something else thirty or so minutes later, the waiting room was gone.
As an update, I received the email order confirmation at 2:42 MDT (4:42 EDT). Complete.
edited to add: I'm still amazed that these coins sold out around 3:35pm EST......that's 3 1/2 hours of selling 90k coins one at a time....incredible!!
Back in the day, they would have sold out in 20 minutes. I'm surprised it took that long
Not that quantity with a HHL of 1. The site would have been continually crashing, and it never would have gone to Sold Out in the first 24 hours.
What's impressive is that they FINALLY figured out how to scale the site to move 90K items, one at a time, without crashing, in just a few hours.
The fact that Pinehurst's bid already dropped by $45 certainly explains who 90K were sold to. Everything is now moving at hyper speed.
In the past, the Mint never would have been able to sell 100K of anything, one at a time, in 3 hours, let alone 20 minutes. And, the flip wouldn't have been cut in half the same day, a full month before anything even ships.
It looks like people who chase the order cancellations at 7:30 might be disappointed in what they will be able to get for them. It doesn't look like they will get hurt. But, given how many of these already went to flippers, and what the aftermarket bids are already doing, there might not be a robust market for the people trying to flip quantity in the next week or two.

These things are not available for almost two months. They will soon go on life support then get their second wind when delivery starts. I’ll bet ( no money😊) they go up some at that time. Who cares anyway it’s a hundred bucks.

Totally agree. People get excited because it's accessible to everyone. But doubling or tripling $100 is still only $100-200. OTOH, if you can get your hands on 10, 20 or 30, and if the pricing holds, that would be worth it to a lot of people.
The price movement indicates that isn't going to happen. I'm not even sure they will bounce once they get into people's hands. Dealers have been doing their buying, in addition to what they were able to buy in advance from the Mint.
Pinehurst's stepping back indicates dealers were swamped by people grabbing the $100. Without dealers to sell to, there won't be much of flip. Probably settle at around $200 retail, with no bounce, because there will likely be more sellers than buyers when they are shipped.

These will be more valuable in sets of three, one from each branch. Remember, this is only coin # one.
Sure. But there will be 100K of each. As we saw today, anyone who wants one will be able to easily obtain one. Or all 3.
People who want to grab 25 of each to flip will be out of luck for the most part. I really thought these would be available until 12:01 tomorrow, like the 50K FH silver medals were. But these really caught the attention of the buying club flippers, so it was not to be.
Unlike the old days, though, we really have nothing to complain about with respect to the website. It worked flawlessly, handling the volume, one at a time. A hot item lasting for over 3 hours, with no system crashes, is a new thing for the Mint.
Anyone who wants a set in OGP at original issue price will have several hours to obtain one each time a new one is released. Which is how it should be, Shout out to the Mint for a change!!!!

You forget. They used to sell out 100k+ in 20 minutes with HHL of 1. Yes, there were crashes and the like. But there were also 500k+ people online at the same time.
Mintages of 50k or less used to sell out in under 10 minutes.
Edited to add: I kind of miss the adrenaline of it. I would have 5 accounts open on 3 devices constantly hitting refresh until I got in. All to get 5 coins that usually only made me $100 TOTAL. Sometimes less. Lol. It was an exciting 5 to 30 minutes. At 12:30, I'd be on the phone comparing notes with my dealer friend Wade. I miss him.
Anyone remember Ron Harrigal? Thank you for your great contributions to the modern Mint coin technology.

Yes. Because it's NOT a lot of shipments for them. That's all they do. 😁They probably ship tissue that many every day of the year.
I got in after a 10 minute wait. Order number USM15313XXX. Pleasantly surprised with how smooth this ordering process went.
Did most of you folks pay for expedited shipping?
Congratulations!!! Your risk in doing that is that they cancel ALL your orders. Not just the extra one(s).
Why? I can wait 2 more days to get my coin than add over 10% cost to the already high cost of buying one.

17k left. Still going. I have heard of so many people ordering extras though, I think there will be tons of cancellations.

Surprising demand because they are cheap ( someone will say not cheap for ounce of silver..we know. Cheap for a New Mint offer that might pay off)
