    Understood. My point was that, after an immediate flip at around $10K, they immediately sped up to around $20K. To the great consternation of those who consider anything the Mint currently puts out to be nothing more than overpriced bullion.

    Which I assume was @RichR's point in asking how many were subsequently melted after the great chase to obtain them. That obviously happens with some things, like First Spouse coins that were hot when first released, with spot gold trading at a fraction of where it does today.

    But it never happened with V75 AGEs, that, with a mintage of 1945, never lost their significant premium to spot. Never.

    Maybe I’m missing something but what does that coin have to do with the Army? I have the Army Medal produced by the Mint. It clear depicts what the medal is about…

    There is nothing on this new coin that tells me it’s connected with the U.S. Army.

    advanved release - special dealers that qualify to buy before the official release date - they pay a premium on those purchases

    first day of issue - self explanatory except that only bulk dealers/big time submitters can get it

    first strike - anyone can get it and it is like shipped within the first 30 days post official release date

    ar > fdoi > fs and you'll see it moneywise

    I believe the Mint has addressed the milk spot problem on ASE proofs with better 'rinsing' procedures.

    Now of course, I could be wrong in that assessment.

    Doesn't seem fair that bulk dealers can arrange special deals with the mint, especially on items with limited mintages such as this. I thought the mint was about We the People but in the end, I guess $$$ always wins. THKS!

    We had a substantial ~1500 coin dump on Saturday, and that was pretty much par for the course. There might be a few stragglers, but there won't be any mass customer initiated cancellations based on secondary market action.

    So yeah, they're really done. The HHL is still 1, so there is nothing to see for anyone who already got one.

    Someone who didn't, and wants one, and doesn't want to pay ~$200 for one, can continue to knock themselves out at 7:30 a.m., and again at noon, to see if anything pops up. Lot of squeeze for tiny bit of juice for anyone who didn't have a few minutes to grab one during the 3.5 hours they were available last Friday as far as I am concerned.

    You missed the fact that they went out in two waves that Saturday, and around 1500 coins in total were made available. They were actually up for quite a few minutes.

    But, with the HHL of 1 still in effect, that didn't do much for most of us. I think a few might have popped up for a nanosecond the following Sunday and/or Monday, but the action was on Saturday, involving far more than 300 coins, and is now over.

    Since they haven't shipped yet, nothing is being returned. it's reasonable to conclude that most if not all invalid orders or bad credit card orders would have been purged by now, so it's hard to see where future releases will come from, unless the Mint does another, more intensive review prior to shipping.

    I wouldn't hold my breath. It's not like the V75 AGE. People had 3.5 hours to get one last Friday, and a few minutes the next day.

    It's a double on a $100 coin. Easily obtainable in quantity on eBay if someone can't live without one. Hardly worth devoting one's life to stalking the Mint's website to see if they ever appear again.

    And there is also "advance tarnish, first day of spotting, and first milk stain" I prefer the "blast white" versions over any special label. Don't forget, many are available with special autographed labels as well by people you may not know, like forward press operator or certified quality inspector.

    We will see. I have seen drops 1-2 weeks after initial sale of several thousand coins.

    Cancellation notices have been mailed to those who tried to exceed HHL on day one and two.
