And I thought that the 1958 Chinese counterfeit cent was the last of them. I always took this as a "thumb to the eye" as to say, "See, we'll counterfeit anything."
Perhaps the Chinese can make cents cheaper and supply them to the U.S. Government so that we can keep the series going.
So now the plan is to buy bulk fake 95% copper common date Lincolns for a few cents each, then use those instead of planchets and restrike as 2026 Lincolns?
Sounds good to me, I never liked the plated zincolns anyway and it might satisfy DOGE.
I don't know whether this is more sick or funny.
