That's a nice one Tim! I'm sure you are surprised by how much the VF30 of THAT date went for last night on GC, I know I sure am. I've got a soft spot for 1903 S quarters and here's one of my examples- PCGS VF35:

1903-S, ok Jed! Sweet circulation-tone quality on yours. It has that slight brownish-tinge in hand? (asking because sometimes digital images can be deceiving).
This one has a slightly darker gray appearance as shown. I am surprised it got a plus grade actually:

I’m partial to the 1897 O Half. I’ve owned many of them over the years, constantly looking for a coin that would grade as a 58. Then I found this one, and it graded as I hoped:

Just finished two days of CSNS in Schaumburg, IL. Just imaged my newps. I will share one tonight.
This one is PCGS AU55. It was so nice I couldn't pass it up. Almost all dealers did not have mid to upper circulated Barbers but some did. You had to really look!
The special display I mentioned earlier was never shown or displayed together before per my understanding. The #1 Everyman Registry Collection of 100%Swede!

Thank you Tim that means a lot,I put a strong bid on it early and it hung on to the end.It's a great feeling to get an AU semi-key Denver mint from 1911,a pretty good upgrade from my self submitted (raw) VF30-seeing it in hand when I opened it I was pleased with the amount of luster it has the reverse is an AU57 LOL real strong (full) wingtips very well struck...it will be hard (and expensive) to upgrade this AU53 I'm really happy with it.
@Redglobe, Those are a couple nice looking pickups! I really like that '11 D. If you get a chance show us the VF30 that you submitted too. I'm a big fan of those mid-grades, mainly for affordability reasons. As usual I'm in the shallow end of the pool, but I just received one that has a look that I like:

1911-D is a tough date! It's population rank in grades MS64 - MS66 is #10.
