I like it a lot and would happily own it but the right obverse field looks a little funky to me. Maybe an old thumbing or something?

CAC is very tough on these. I often hear “cleaning underneath the patina”, but that’s hard to tell from the pics. Love the coin though - wouldn’t mind owning it!

I agree with 50 but too dark and that hurts the eye appeal. No for a CAC sticker. Looks like one you have to throw a ton of light on to get good images. If it's not as dark as it appears then it has a shot.
I like the look of it but I don't think CAC does.

I voted that it would CAC. however I'm on the fence because of the small lines on the right obverse, to the right and down from the elbow. I feel that it's other merits, still nice surfaces and luster, may push it over.

The coin looks like it may have had an old cleaning and the right obverse field looks funky. Hard to tell from your pictures; the slab shot and glamour shot look like two different coins.
I think overall it’s a nice looking coin regardless of what JA says.

I don't see this one garnering a bean. Still a pretty decent looking SLD for the grade.

I’d have to see it in hand to be sure of my vote. But I don’t see anything in the images that would not pass it. Really depends on how it looks under a light……………

If, as I’d guess, the coin fails to sticker, I think it will be due to the scratches in the right obverse field and/or cleaning. On its own, the color doesn’t look dark enough to preclude a sticker. In the case of Seated Dollars, darker can be a good thing, as long as the coin hasn’t been cleaned.

I see intentional light scratches in the right obverse field. It’s too bad it’s there, but the light marks don’t have random look to them.
I just think it’s a pleasant 45 with claims to 50. Claims to 50 does not a sticker make in a 50 holder.

I am on the fence but decided to vote yes. I like the coin either way. If it were me, it would probably tag along with other coins that I was more confident with just to save some shipping.

I did not vote because I know little about how CAC views Seated Dollars but would only make this comment. PCGS usually puts a great deal of emphasis on luster when looking at AU coins. I only have this picture to go by but I think this coin just squeaked by and I would have guessed 45. James

If a coin is original, CAC will sticker it, even though it may be dark. I have an expensive Flowing Hair Dollar which is dark, original and stickered. From what I've seen, they won't sticker a cleaned coin.

It’s a nice looking coin with clean surfaces. My vote CAC.
I like it more as a 45.
I've submitted a few Trade Dollars myself with only one in 10 stickered so far. Yes they are tough on Trades. My take is that it would not sticker because it likely has already been there a couple times. I've seen 20 to 30 percent premiums paid for CAC stickered NGC and PCGS coins. That's certainly good incentive to get another opinion.
I like the color, but the X shaped scratches In the right field bother me.

This is my SLD type coin; I actually downgraded from an AU58 because I liked the eye appeal, color and originality of this coin more. Both sets of photos are accurate depending on lighting; I tried to reproduce in my shots below.
As much as I like the coin, I voted "no" on the bean—I figured, as @fiftysevener suggested, that it'd been to CAC already. Earning the bean against expectations makes this feel like a big win, esp. since CAC'd SLDs are TOUGH.
This is now pop 44 for the issue, pop 5 in AU50 (12 lower). It took a lot of searching to find an example I liked, and now that's it's beaned, it probably won't be leaving my collection anytime soon.
