What am I missing here?

How did this coin more than double its price in 16 months?

I won the coin from Heritage in September of 2023 for $630.

Should I be shouting for joy or did I miss something?

    P53, P55 and P58 CBH's with CAC on Heritage have also been VERY strong lately, ESPECIALLY with color. Just FYI

    Just comes down to who needs and wants it. I paid like 5x for a coin just because. Keeps it interesting. Cheers to you.

    Same coin sold for a stupid $6k in 8/22/21 via Heritage. Resold via heritage again 9/17/23 for a more reasonable $4k. Now it’s squarely between those prices. Interesting.

    All it takes is two strong bidders with deep pockets; there's a lot of crazy money out there now. Maybe the buyer's logic was skewed by looking at other examples in the 58-62 range and finding your coin high end and worth strong bids. Common not "hot" numismatic material can do poorly on GC, look at all the reviews, google, yelp, not just the 5 star ones.

    It is a really nice coin. I was just pleasantly surprised at the result.

    I'm sure the new owner will be very happy with the coin.

    This 1825 CBH exhibits some nice luster as well as lovely cartwheel on both sides.
