I graduated from High School 50 years ago today. Where has the time gone?

MWallaceMWallace Posts: 3,950 ✭✭✭✭✭

Life is going by way too fast. Enjoy every day. I graduated from high school 50 years ago today, June 6, 1974.
Post a 1974 dated coin, medal, or token. How about a 1974 error coin if you have one?

Welcome from another member of the Class of 1974! No coins here, just lots of wrinkles.

Heading to the BEP in D.C. today in honor of the event.

74 Grad as well. I wouldn't have any idea what precise day it was. Sometime around June 3-6.

I too am a graduate of 1974. Where has the time gone? When someone figures it out, please let me know. Had 308 in my graduating class and we’ve yet to have a class reunion. Maybe when we’re all in wheelchairs! Sorry but no errors from ‘74.

Any of you go to the class reunions? I never did. Most of the
time I found out too late.

@MWallace My 50th is next year. My parents were thrilled. Now I
know why, I didn't amount to anything, but I had a diploma.
@Walkerfan I also skipped A LOT , especially my senior year.
Drank A LOT and smoked reefer.

My 40th will be this year. I might go. I’ve only been to about half of my reunions. I loved to drink beer, but the reefer made me too paranoid and anxious, so I tried it a few times, but didn’t really like it. lol

Class of 64. I too missed most of my senior year, boring. College was great, met my wife in my freshman year and we are still together. Missed all the reunions. Don't have any modern coinage from '74 unless it's in the poket change bucket.
Time certainly has flown, that I can agree with.

I had a silver one with a maroon vinyl top. Drove mine home new from the dealer and added side pipes, wide rear tires, air shocks, 8 track and 6 X 9's in the back dash!

Blue , blue hardtop, white interior, spent too much time chasing the girls with it. LOL Funny thing nothing really bothered back then going to the local college and owning that car kept me in a state of life.

I managed a couple of them it’s a time warp nothing quite like getting high and skipping class at 45 or 50 years old.

Edit. Ya know what I meant right 🥹

Class of '64. The beginning of the demise of 90% silver coins. I miss the ringing music that I would create when I had a small handful of them in my pants pocket while waiting in line to score some rolls at the bank. Those were the days ..........
