    Spokane Expo 74 medal

You posted an excellent small gilt (vermeil) silver Spokane US Mint National Commemorative.

I dropped out of high school mid-11th grade in Spokane in Dec. 1972 to go to college, and yes there was a lot of partying involved. I did not get my diploma till 1974 because it took a while to convince them to give me one. I attended the Expo 74 several times.

This is the large 2.5-inch, 5.5-ounce version. Only 400 gilt silver medals were available of each size, and they were edge numbered. This one is a top pop #69 and is one of my favorites!

At least I know I’m not the youngest here. I was class of 2022 :)

When did your parents and grandparents graduate from high school?

Not sure of the exact year, but I'd say mid-1980s.

I don't know about your dad but I met your mom and I'm not sure about that. That would make her age late 50s. She didn't seem that age. If so, please pass on my congratulations to her on her youthful appearance and demeanor!

@golden: same year for me but I don’t remember what the actual day was. I guess this makes us “good ol’ boys”!”

@Goldminers I don’t aspire to collect all the large medals. Only the small. Your collection is a stand out.
