Is there any chance you accidentally posted the same coin twice? James

You've messed up the labels on the images and have three obverse images paired with two reverse images.

I believe images 1 and 5 are of the same coin.

I would pick coin #2 (images 3 and 4), fewer marks on obverse.

I fouled that up by the way I loaded them. It's fixed now but I've already botched it up.

When you state that they are DMPL, I am assuming it isn't what you believe but what is on an other holder than we no longer can rely on, is that a correct assumption on my account?

I would assume the stain/toning brought the grade down a notch, so even with the face scratches on #1, I will select it as the higher grade of the two. JMO

    @RobertScotLover
Both coins are graded by NGC and are DPL.
My opinion is that they are close in grade but actually are not.
I want to see what the forum thinks.

Both very beautiful, well struck examples. I'd imagine these are showstoppers in person. The first appears not as deeply mirrored on the obverse, so I'll go 64 for the 1st, and 65 for the second as a guess.

I think that they are both fairly run of the mill MS-64s using today's standards. Years ago, they would have MS-63s. If I had to choose, I'd take the first one.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Ditto.

Hard to nail down a specific grade with those photos. I'll go 64 and 64+. If be mildly surprised if either 65ed, but not shocked. Those photos need better lighting.

I screwed it up from the start by loading all the images at once. They are really nice in hand.
As far as my original images go. It's not easy to take images of coins especially dmpl's.
    Coin A is 65
The 63 looks just as nice to be honest with you.

And yet the 65 would cost vastly more.

There's a lesson in there somewhere..

Yup. Take the one with the 63 label. Much cheaper. Both are Gem BU

Am I seeing a scratch on the cheek below the eye and a black spot across from the M on the MS63? Judging from the serial numbers, both coins seem to be from the same submission NGC group?
