I don't think I can come up with 20 items pre or post 1980 for the value sub. Maybe combining all years.
And they're definitely not worth more than the $499. They're probably more in the $5-20 range.
I think you are confusing Value sub with Value BULK sub.... A Value Sub has no minimum, you can just send in a single card and pay $40 for a jumbo!
Oh, I sure did. I screwed up. All this time I thought oversize was going to be $75 for smaller quantity subs.
Still, $40 is steep for what I want slabbed. Would be nice though.
Thanks for unconfusing me.
Seems like a ‘no’ at this point. It looked like anything larger than a card never got a special, aside from Funko, though I didn’t read the fine print.
Well, that’s that; I sent in nothing but I hope those of you that did, do well.
Happy New Year, CU!
(If it’s something other than the Modern that it seems it will be, I’ll update the thread one more time. Modern collectors, good luck with the special!)
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
guessing PSA is looking to build up some backlog, as this special is going to generate a lot of submissions/cards, as it hits those who have collections in the 90s to early 2000s, as well as all of the new collectors/breakers with tons of shiny/numbered cards from the last 5 years. I would venture to guess orders submitted under this special won't be coming back for a good number of months if they get hammered like I believe they will. I know personally I have some refractors from the late 90's as well as some rookies from the mid-90's that I will be submitting.
I think the turnaround time will depend a lot on whether there has been any pullback on TCG submissions. Seeing a lot of talk on youtube and blowout forums that the pokemon market is down, but PSA's output of TCG slabs hasn't slowed yet. They've done modern $15 specials in the past without getting too flooded, but I don't think they were getting 500k+ tcg cards per month at the time.

My 80s holiday special hit assembly today. A lot faster than I thought it would.
Just checked and mine is in assembly too.
With an expected completion date of 2/27, I haven't been checking day to day.
Small 11 card sub. PC/Registry and some oddball stuff.

My 80s sub just popped.
Once again, I'm baffled by some of the grades.
Oh great....hopefully we had two different graders especially since ours seemed to be close together.
Different note, my dual service holiday special that was received 12/22 moved into grading today. Hopefully it goes pretty quickly through the "grading" step since I'm not actually grading them, just authenticating the card on the flip and the autograph.

I was under the impression that the super sized submission started at $75.

Remember not to confuse Super Size holder (T3 size, for example) with the notably larger Jumbo holder
During the sub process its all lumped together.
Is a 5x7 card the same price as a 8x10 card?
Any ideas on the final 2 specials?
One will be TCG focused and the other will be Sports
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Modern?
You may be right.
I guess I can put my oversized cards back in the closet.
No love for us 1960s and earlier collectors?

I skipped the 80s Holiday subs because of how weird they were earlier in the year.
Show us your grades when you can. Curious to see them. Especially the weird ones.
