Across the street, was a deputy. I walked over to ask him where he liked to eat in town. I tapped on his window, not aware that he was napping, and scared the living hell out of him. He grabbed his chest, face went red, and scared the hell back out of me. I apologized, saw that he wasn’t in cardiac arrest, and found the local trough by myself.

Series 2017 so they've been around a while. They sure have a lot of anti-counterfeiting features. Get a good magnifier and check out the micro printing.

Friday has arrived and here in the Northland the relatively cool temperatures keep the flowers of summer in full bloom.
Pictured are photos from yesterday taken at various locations within a radius of one block from my downtown office.
While here on the home front the bulbs have popped open to reveal the lilies that were waiting to emerge:
Introducing a Leaf You Can Eat: Shiso - Here pictured from Plant to Pot to Plate
A Shiso Plant growing in our Greenhouse. (Shiso is a plant related to Mint and like Mint leaves, its leaves also have a pleasant soothing aroma.)
The clipped leaves ready to be dipped into Tempura Batter:
With the batter prepared and ready, the Shiso leaves are lightly dipped and then immersed in the hot oil:
Then onto the plate:
With the final step being dipped into Ten Tsuyu dipping sauce for Tempura:

Is that an entrance to Carlsbad Caverns? I vaguely recall a winding pathway entrance similar to that but did not seem that steep.
