He grabbed his chest, face went red, and scared the hell back out of me. I apologized, saw that he wasn’t in cardiac arrest, and found the local trough by myself.

Friday has arrived and here in the Northland the relatively cool temperatures keep the flowers of summer in full bloom.

Introducing a Leaf You Can Eat: Shiso - Here pictured from Plant to Pot to Plate
A Shiso Plant growing in our Greenhouse. (Shiso is a plant related to Mint and like Mint leaves, its leaves also have a pleasant soothing aroma.)
The clipped leaves ready to be dipped into Tempura Batter:
With the batter prepared and ready, the Shiso leaves are lightly dipped and then immersed in the hot oil:
Then onto the plate:
With the final step being dipped into Ten Tsuyu dipping sauce for Tempura:
