I've been upgrading my 1933-1947 Walker set with some higher- end examples. I'll let the Walker guys chime in....What do you think of these two?

What's not to like? Those are some of the highest graded Walkers I have seen!
What's with the dramatic price jump on the '41 about a year ago? Any idea?

Not sure on the 1941-d in terms of the PCGS listed price. It has the coin listed very high at $8,000. ! Needless to say it had zero correlation to the actual selling price of the coin above.

Two outstanding examples!
The coinfacts shows one that sold at SB for 8400 Nov 2021 but the 4 previous from July 2020 to April 2021 were in the 2200 to 3600 range (all cac). So if the jump was due to that one sale, it seems like it could be a little over-reaction? Also will note one dealer listing (which PC might include in review) in the 8K plus range but don't know how for how long they have been there.

I won the above 41-d right at $3k w BP. So right in the middle of your range, and I had the same range in mind when I was bidding on the coin. $8,000. seems sheer fantasy unless the coin is some super toner, with incredible surfaces....at which point it seems the sky is the limit these days.
Nice luster, but the strike could be better.
Both great coins. I, especially, like the 39D. The 41D has some nice splashes of gold toning that I also like.

Both halves are in great condition without distractions. Fair amount of branch hand on each from this branch mint.
The 39-D reverse looks very lustrous; the interior wing feathers and the feathers on eagle's right leg look especially so.

Both are incredible coins with great eye appeal, but the 1941-D has to be my favorite because I'm a sucker for satiny luster. It does appear to be slightly cleaner overall.
