    My wife was picked today to serve on Grand Jury. It's a 6 week term.

    I have a couple friends who got picked for the grand jury and they were once a week for up to 2 years. :o

    I was called for federal jury duty once back around 1994. I was on call for two weeks but only had to go the court once. I made it as far as the courtroom but the jury was seated before my name was called so I was released and was back at work before 10AM that morning. I've been called twice for county jury duty but have never even left the jury waiting area before being released.

    All glory is fleeting.

    In my state Grand Jury members serve for one year and meet every month.

    Very easy to get out of being on a jury if you want to.......

    @asheland Just tell them that you can spot a guilty person just "like that" while you snap your fingers. They'll send you home.
