When the defense attorney was questioning prospective jurors, he asked me a question - poorly phrased - and I replied, "Based on that question, it sounds like you are convinced your client is guilty/"..... I was excused. Cheers, RickO
Funny story. When I served on a federal jury, I was the only man amongst 11 women and they voted me foreman. I found that rather interesting at the time but didn't question it. After the trial, one of them approached me and asked me if I knew why they had made me forman. I replied in the negative and she said, "the plaintiff looked mean and we were afraid he would throw something at us or charge the box and we wanted you out front". We had a good laugh but she was serious.
