I’ll start with my bust quarter.

The county I reside was founded in 1808, bonus points if it’s an 1808 coin!

I have a couple friends who got picked for the grand jury and they were once a week for up to 2 years.

Just returned from the LCS, made a purchase at melt + $11 based on today's current price. No doubt had some cleaning on lower obverse but looks much nicer in hand... color and obverse. Excuse my lousy cellphone pictures.

I was called for federal jury duty once back around 1994. I was on call for two weeks but only had to go the court once. I made it as far as the courtroom but the jury was seated before my name was called so I was released and was back at work before 10AM that morning. I've been called twice for county jury duty but have never even left the jury waiting area before being released.

In my state Grand Jury members serve for one year and meet every month.

Tell the judge with a straight face that you believe in capital punishment for littering offenses. You'll be excused, and quickly.

Jury duty ... hahahaha. The magic phrase to get out of a drug trial is "jury nullification." That said, I did get nailed for a week-long "determine the percentage of guilt for 4 defendants" in a civil case. Talk about hurry up and wait. I was the foreperson, so I made certain that our percentages added precisely to 100%. I'm not sure that some of my fellow jurors could have done the same.
