    Actually, that depends upon whether the toning is covering cleaning or other problems.

    @GodlessWanderer .... Welcome aboard. Your coin appears to be artificial tarnish - that means it has not occurred naturally, but rather by heat or chemicals. Cheers, RickO

    If the photo colors are accurate, would have to agree with artificially toned. Looks to be uncirculated but depends on whether coloring is covering any defects like abrasions, etc.

    Didn't do anything to it but set it on the shelf for a few years. So no... it's not artificial. That's how it toned. I didn't dip it, or clean it, or look at it funny. It just sat on the shelf, I forgot about it, and a few years later, I came across it... and here it is.

    Regardless of how the coin toned, the color looks blatantly artificial. And if the images are anywhere close to accurate, I think it has approximately a 0% chance of receiving a straight grade at any highly respected grading company.

    Maybe a better way to put it is 'Market unacceptable' toning.

    It may not be artificial or accelerated toning as to what you've done with it, but the look is that of an artificially toned coin.

    If it was sent in for grading, I'm 99% sure it would get a details grade for questionable color.
