After an 8 month + hiatus the half dollar parade has resumed.

Here are some new entries in the parade, having been newly graded since Catbert's post of 8-31-2022.

Modern PCGS graded PF64DCAM Kennedy Silver proof half dollars are likely few in number.

First of all, DCAM quality proof halves for 1964 and for 1968-1970 are very hard to find (due to production techniques in effect at the time the DCAM level of frost on coins lasted for only very earliest strikes off of proof dies as frost fade would happen and dies would deteriorate).

Second of all, the 1964 and the 1968-1970 Silver proof half dollars were produced in Gem+++ quality one at a time and were then hand placed into the OGP packaging. Unless these coins were taken from the OGP and allowed to come into contact with other things, the Gem+++ quality remains undisturbed. A PR64 coin is nice, but it has obvious flaws that drive it to the 64 level (less than Gem). I suspect that even if the type of coins you seek are present in the hands of dealers and collectors, the most likely are raw. Few would chose to submit such a coin for grading (the grading costs far exceed the value of the slabbed coin).

If I were you I would consider going to local coin shows and looking at raw coins in dealer inventories (i.e. three ring binders with pages of silver Kennedies) to see if you can find a raw coin that in your opinion is DCAM and PF64. If you find such a coin, buy it cheap and then send it in the play the grading game.
