Love them or hate them because some coins have been dipped, here is a type set of Liberty Seated half dollars.
No Drapery, 1839 Only
With Drapery - this case, there is not much difference. 1839 - 1866
Arrows and Rays, 1853 Only
Arrows, 1854-5
With Motto This coin is a Proof, 1866 - 1891
With Arrows 1873-4
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Here are some "R5" die marriages except for the WB-4, which oddly enough is an R3. Pointing out that it is one of the more common NO die marriages in 1840 often surprises people.
Here are the parade screw-ups. All out of step with reality.
All are 1855/54's misidentified and labeled as 1855s. The last two PCGS coins have been corrected since their purchase thanks to PCGS_Hy. All of the grading services accepted by eBay are represented here. Good job, guys! These will keep me stocked with beer and SlimJims for a few years.

The last graded proof I was looking for (I had all the rest) covering 1942-1998:

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
