1822/1 Bust half - is this a O-102 R4?

I bought this XF-45 a few years ago as an 1822/1, thinking it has all the markers and think it was attributed as O-102. Paid the price for a generic 1822/1. Looks like the O-102 jumped up quite a bit in value since I got it, whoa! This coin at least looks like it has the 1 underneath, unlike the O-101. Think I need to retake the photos too while I'm at it.

    I looked at the position of the 1 in the date relative to the dentils (sp?).
    Yours matches a 102.
    The left side of the 1 is about centered over one and the right side is upper half. These are approximations but match 102.
    The 101 has the left side of 1 upper edge and the right side between (again approximations).

    The reverse with the bold center dot is also used on 103 but the 1 does not match that one either.

    I didn't check anything else to verify other O numbers.

    All you need to look at is star 7. If it’s pointing to the curl it’s a 102. If it’s pointing to the cap it’s a 101.

    I enjoy these threads that describe the minor variation points between dies. I have never studied these issues for myself, but if I had a question regarding such things, we have some experts here that can quickly help. Cheers, RickO
