ashelandasheland Posts: 24,466 ✭✭✭✭✭

Believe it or not, I have never owned one of these, I’ve wanted one for many years and I’ve always been waiting for the right one to come along…

Today it came along. B)>:)

Brand-new, fresh PCGS slab and a nice true view!

What do you all think?

I will reveal sometime tomorrow. Around this time…

Nice one! I think I see traces of wear, so I will guess 58. The luster looks really good, so it wouldn't surprise me if it graded MS.

I want to say 55, so I will say 55.

    AU-55.

The originality is a plus. In the old days this piece would have been dipped sold as Unc.

I love it! The frost is really amazing. I realize there appears to be a field scratch near star ten, but the coin is gorgeous. I'll go with AU58.

I would say AU details due to the scratch, but I'm guessing it straight graded AU58. Very attractive.

To me it looks like it has been dipped some time ago and re-toned. Though it looks attractive I don't see anything "original" about it. I see it as an AU.

My first thought (before seeing all the AU guesses) was 64. Probably way too high, but I'll stick with it. I think it looks nice.

As it’s a ‘75P, I’m betting the fields are PL in hand, and quite attractive.

What's not to like ... original skin, a great bloom on the luster and while she has a few marks, she's a great looking coin overall.

With this degree of wear and hits in the focal areas it would probably be fortunate to earn an AU53.

Nice original looking coin. It appears to have slight wear on the high points and some notable hits. I would call in AU55 but I could also see it in a MS62 slab.
