@MidLifeCrisis ... Happy Birthday. Sure wish I had the two I had as a kid... they were in my bureau drawer when I joined the Navy. Years later... gone... Mom had cleaned out the bureau... Probably spent the change. Cheers, RickO

I'll second that motion! Happy Birthday MidLife!

I'm looking for mine in an old ANACS soap bar slab.

Wish you a very happy birthday.

The 1955 DDO is on my wishlist and almost came very close to picking up one from my LCS but was priced out of my budget since the proof Trade dollars were my priority at that time. Someday..............

Happy 55th Birthday. I once owned a 55 DDO but sold it to a forum member years ago. I got it raw for $740 and it graded 58 at Pcgs. I thought it was better and sent it to Anacs where it graded MS-60. I later sold it for $1000 when I needed some money. I wish I had kept it.

I freed this from plastic and used to fill the hole in my Whitman album.

Interesting. I would imagine a 1955 Doubled Die Lincoln cent with an O/C strike would be quite a find.

Big HBday MLC. Hopefully, you can still drive 55. I've always wanted one of these, but since they're readily available, haven't gotten around to it.

Burfle23 I hope I'm wrong, but that coin may be a counterfeit.

Considering it's muled with a 1909 VDB reverse... I'm guessing he knows that

Happy belated 55th, 56th and 57th birthday. The 55/55 is on my list, but I have not bought one. Maybe for your 58th :D

I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.

    I don’t own a 55 dd.
Best I can do is a birth year coin in a grade of your age. Happy Birthday

NGC called this MS-62, Brown. I bought it with ANACS papers certified genine with no grade. That's the way the submitter wanted it. It is not a problem coin.
