    I'd call them rare. BUT wrong-stock errors don't get no respect. They're not "showy". Few people collect them, so there is little demand.

    I used to CRH half dollar rolls...Never encountered one of these... Interesting. Cheers, RickO

    Two examples have sold through Heritage, and at least one through eBay. @arby96 posted one that he found coin roll hunting earlier this year:

    1971-D quarters struck on 10c thickness stock are also known and also rare (I know of only two examples).
