The field looks a bit rough for a 64 and it appears to have been dipped. I'd guess it would not get a sticker.

how will you do that exactly?

i was looking to send stuff to CAC and i came to the conclusion that it was impossible. they don't accept new memberships, and unless you know some lottery winner from 10 years ago it just isn't going to happen. odd business they have there.

If indeed it’s a “C” coin, it won’t sticker, but the amount of dipping it incurred is tough for me to tell from the photos. The concept of dipping in and of itself will not preclude it from getting the sticker. Many of my coins have obviously been dipped, but apparently gently enough to still merit a CAC. Here’s my 1829/7 Capped Bust Half graded MS65 with a CAC (admittedly not to many people’s taste, but I love it):

That's the beginning of the low mintage run of Philly seated halves, I have one in AU-55. This date doesn't show up that often as a business strike.

If it pleases you, that’s what matters. The whole CAC thing has become completely overblown. Why should one man decide which coins go into your collection?

I fully agree that “If it pleases you, that’s what matters.” However, I disagree with the rest of the comment. One could then make the exact same point about PCGS and NGC slapping “Details” on coins. Those of us that don’t want any Detailed coins in our collections will then avoid coins that are Detailed!!!

@KAJ1... That is a very nice coin... I like it, and from the pictures, does not have the appearance of dip damage. Obviously PCGS also considered it acceptable. Cheers, RickO
