Yeah....I mean, I know I haven't been on the forum since before summer, so I would have an excuse, but, come on Slammer, even I saw the thread with that gold coin on GC sales discussed on the forums....where YOU been man?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Ahhh now I see…..thanks. 😆🤓
Carry on.
It is against the law to deface a coin like that. I hope the right government agency finds out who did this and make them pay.

I do find that to be an interesting coin. I do not know if there is any direct history to the image/original owners, but it would be a great family heirloom for sure. Cheers, RickO
Yes on it being posted before.
It is unique for sure.

What will sell for more this or the bug 🐜 ?
Edit : just looked up the bug. That is just wrong.
I hope that’s sarcasm.
its a very cool coin. i have seen it in hand.
Is that Queen Mary or something ? This is damaged goods. Plenty of those picture type of antiques if you want an old picture but this is pure sanity compared to that bug.
Hey - I missed it - thanks for posting!!
It’s a little sad when these things don’t stay in the family. What a beautiful heirloom that would be.
He who knows he has enough is rich.
I saw this coin in the Baltimore show on Friday and it is indeed fabulous.. the 1898 $20 Liberty obverse is looks to be a full mint state gradeable obverse without any issues.
i thought I saw this coin at the Coinace table.
