    From the pictures, I'd agree with it being a lamination that happened to collect a few lines. It's hard to see those as tooling marks from the images, but I did not see it in hand and that makes a big difference.

    Looks like that spot has been around since at least 1946

    Isn't that what the auction houses euphemistically call a "pedigree identifying mark" or something like that?

    To me it looked like a small lamination that got toned over.
    A second spot on the lower right obverse near 4 o'clock appears to be another small flaky lamination.
    What do you guys think?

    The spot looks more like a planchet inclusion. Perhaps partially removed, as Boosibri suggests.

    I called, paid with an e-check on the 21st, 5 days to clear then 7-14 days from that before they ship.

    I call that cash flow management.

    Heritage gets no benefit from making you wait for your coins. I think they're just swamped.

    Now I’m being offered a 30% net profit through the Heritage ‘make an offer program’’ …..not sure what to do ….😒. ??

    Pop 1 only one other graded in 65 both services.

    I bought the two coins that I really needed. The irreplaceable 1867 Chile 1 Peso. Mark Teller tells me it is better than the Millennia Specimen 65. I also snagged the 1837 Colombia 8R which was ex Brand Norweb.

    I wish I had bought a few of the other high profile pieces, like the Hookneck in 65. Knowing the owner, he said he was prepared to bid $200k. In the end not meant to be.
