New peace dollar ordering

CryptoCrypto Posts: 3,740 ✭✭✭✭✭

As expected they sold out quick but was able to secure a pair for my buddy and I. I deeply hope that they come in various states of finish with some PLs out there. I know I wouldn’t get one (just like the HHR) but that would be a coin I would spring for in the open market. Hope the board’s collectors were successful with the quick sellout today.

It took a lot of patience to get one. With an authorized mintage of 200 thousand, the prces will come down a few years from now. Modern collectors turn pages quickly.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

While not coins they would still be attractive and much a much better deal for what people call PL peace dollars. I already maximized a (semi) reflective 26s bought for type by trading it for an UNC saint. Best time to sell a coin is when you have a buyer.

I got my 1 Peace dollar.
It was a mind challenge to use my year old gift certificate.
When it arrives I do think that I will not open it but as the path for all of my coins, it will be passed on.
What a nice surprise for the future owner.

    These aren’t rounds

They are NCLT with a face value of a dollar

The new Morgans kinda just had a cheesy look but the new Peace dollars I liked - so tried 6 times today, got to order accepted then waited for confirmation like it told me to do and NOTHING! I gave up.

There's always a buyer. I held your 26s for a few months and can say I am VERY happy to hear you got that much for it.

I did not partake of the Peace dollar frenzy... Perhaps get one on the secondary market next year, or the year after. Cheers, RickO
