300,000 is a lot for silver eagles. It'll probably sell out because of the hype, but I wouldn't chase it. It won't hold it's value long-term. If you look at ASE's, the only ones that are over $100 have mintages that are 150,000 or less. Of course, in the current market $73 is a bargain for a proof ASE.
The Morgan dollars sold out quickly, and I expect the same for these. Luckily, I'm on the subscription plan, so I won't have to jump into the pool of sharks when it's released.
Just checked my subscription for tomorrows issue, but it no longer shows the subscription in my account? I'm assuming its removed so no other changes can be made? I don't think I've ever checked before...any thoughts?

For the 2021 W ASE proof, I see prices settling down somewhat in a few months. I do not see the same thing for the Morgan and Peace dollars because of all the hype, the Mint site's fiasco and delay in ordering dates, and the coins are beautiful.
I'll sit back and watch while I wait for them to process > @Burnie said:

My enrollment for tomorrow's issue still shows "Active" in my account.

Can someone make this easy on me? Is this the T2 version of the proof SE I ordered earlier this year?
(Or was that last year? ).
This is for the new 2021-W Type 2 proof American Silver eagle. Unless you ordered this on the subscription plan, individual orders have not yet been taken.
Could someone dumb down the subscription plan and explain it?
I saw it mentioned on the Mint’s website but there did not appear to be a way to sign up for the subscription plan.
Does the subscription plan allow someone to pre-order 30 days in advance?
What intrigued me most was the free shipping option if you didn’t yet have 3 mailing/orders for the year
certain recurring products can be enrolled via subscription.
you find the subscription -- if it has one -- page for the product and simply proceed like it is an order. enter quantity, put the subscription in the cart, feed in the CC info and you're done. you are enrolled. this can take place months and months before a release. you aren't charged until the order is processed but make sure the payment info is valid before the subscription is processed (that release day) or you won't get anything.
as it stands right now, the MInt is taking no new subscriptions for the silver eagles.
to find the subscriptions go to the top menu and hover over "SHOP" then hover over "ENROLLMENTS." there will be the list. I believe there is a notice on the product page about subscriptions.
Thank-you for writing this up and explaining it...
I was confused, as I saw the term "Enrollments/subscriptions" mentioned here by others and then when I went to look myself, I saw that there was an enrollment page ---> but yet I could not figure out how to Enroll/Subscribe.
Plus, there is two different pages for tomorrows release which only added to my confusion about the enrollment/subscription offering.
I sent you a PM of my original post...
It appeared to post perfectly fine in my PM, including links and attachments of the webshots I took of the Mint's subscription page

that "remind me" button will go red "Add to Bag" tomorrow at 12 eastern
the second picture is for the enrollment. "Remind Me" in this case is where they aren't taking new enrollments. You can do the "Remind Me" for when they start taking them again, however we have found the "Remind Me" feature useless. Frequent checking is the way to go. Perhaps shortly (days-weeks) after tomorrow's drop they will open it up again.

Not sure if you have resolved this issue via PM. Just in case you have not ....
MN is the enrollment. If you successfully 'buy' this item, and keep it active, you will automatically receive the ASE Proof-W each year at release. Think of it like an annual magazine subscription, and 21EAN is the next issue.
In contrast, 21EAN is a specific coin. Namely, the 2021 T2 ASE Proof-W.

Dud? I'm willing to gamble these go Dud.
Agreed. I think initially the first sales will ride the frenzy, and sell well (as with other hyped issues), but ultimately there will be enough to meet collector demand and sale prices will come down close to original issue cost, IMHO.

I'm taking it back. I thought the Type 1 had a much lower mintage than this one.
I think we'll see a sell through and prices holding. Looking at the Type 1, apparently 300,000 isn't too many.

Nor is it allowing any increase on quantity for the remaining ASE proofs for those that are locked in with a subscription.
to find the subscriptions go to the top menu and hover over "SHOP" then hover over "ENROLLMENTS." there will be the list. I believe there is a notice on the product page about subscriptions.
Your subscription will automatically place your order for the product each year it is offered until you cancel/change your subscription to the item or until your credit card info is no longer valid. The subscription process is ideal for the collector who buys each year's issue of the same product. Also, not a bad idea to initially place an order for a higher quantity in case the issue is hot/projected sellout as are these ASE proofs. One can always lower the quantity right before issue but as we are witnessing with these ASEs one sometimes cannot increase the quantity.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.

i think maybe so
I expect quite a number are sold via subscriptions.
3 HHL will slow things down.
Plan for the best expect the worse. It's the latest trend, instant sellout, list on Ebay, sell for a 300% profit plus or minus.
This product will be unavailable for sale on July 20, 2021, at 12:25 past noon (ET).
20 minutes..........
.
This is still funny. They all have muffins…..right ?
2021 w what?
@cameonut2011.... 2021ASE silver proof W.... I have a subscription, so will avoid the hassle. Cheers, RickO

What's the over/under on the number of months before prices recede precipitously from the anticipated after-market sugar rush?

Just had a dealer offer $50 over mint price for 'em so pretty quick I'm guessing.
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."

I think we'll see a sell through and prices holding. Looking at the Type 1, apparently 300,000 isn't too many.

How many Type 1's were minted?

I thought it was 200,000 plus the dealer trays.
they did 300,000 plus the dealer trays.
the type 2 are already sold out, we just don't know it yet.
