Your subscription will automatically place your order for the product each year it is offered until you cancel/change your subscription to the item or until your credit card info is no longer valid. The subscription process is ideal for the collector who buys each year's issue of the same product. Also, not a bad idea to initially place an order for a higher quantity in case the issue is hot/projected sellout as are these ASE proofs. One can always lower the quantity right before issue but as we are witnessing with these ASEs one sometimes cannot increase the quantity.
Is it known beforehand how many have already subscribed...and how many will be left for the peasants?
Not sure if you have resolved this issue via PM. Just in case you have not ....
MN is the enrollment. If you successfully 'buy' this item, and keep it active, you will automatically receive the ASE Proof-W each year at release. Think of it like an annual magazine subscription, and 21EAN is the next issue.
In contrast, 21EAN is a specific coin. Namely, the 2021 T2 ASE Proof-W.
Thanks for further educating me!
I don't normally like long term subscriptions may be be appropriate for the future with the Mint.

Most likely already a big dent in the total available. I think the original limit subscription quantity was 25. I did have mine at 25 and then foolishly lowered it to 10 right before they froze changes to quantity. Did the same with the remaining two ASE proofs which have also had there subscriptions frozen.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.

Well if that's the case, AND assuming that the Mints website works properly tomorrow...I'm predicting that they'll sell out in 5 mins.
Now, the key point here...is "assuming" the Mint's website and whatever changes they have made work properly...
Otherwise, it will be a flustercluck for the first 15-20 mins and most won't get a confirmed order until 12:25 pm!
For example:
~ enrollment "MY", Proof Set Enrollment. The 2021 Proof Set (21RG) went on sale 3/5/21. It is still available for purchase.
~ enrollment "RJ", Presidential Silver Medal Enrollment. The first release of the year, Van Buren (S808) went on sale 2/1/21. It is still available for purchase. Further, the second release of the year, Harrison (S809) went on sale 5/3/21. It is also still available for purchase.
The AE enrollments are currently "unavailable" due to high demand. This is presumably an anomaly due to the design change (i.e., T1 -> T2).
Note - Not sure why the Native American $1 Coins enrollment are currently "unavailable". Both the 2021(P) rolls and the 2021(D) rolls are still available for purchase.

There is a "prior to order day" window when prescriptions close and will take effect at the next (year) issuance. I believe it is a week or 10 days prior. Even though items are still available for regular sale, subscription sales for this year end BEFORE the items first becames available for regular sale. (edited for many typos)
What is the advantage of enrolling when you can't enroll?
Purchasers of the American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Coins (21EAN, 21EMN, 21EGN), please note: Demand for this product is extremely high. In order to accommodate as many customers as possible, we are unable to accept increases to enrollment orders for this product.

You, fine sir, are absolutely correct.
The point I was trying to make was that enrollment items are not typically 'coin/sets' that sell-out quickly. I attempted to illustrate this via examples. Specifically, I highlighted a couple of enrollment items that are still available for purchase months after their release date.
I think the original limit subscription quantity was 25. I did have mine at 25 and then foolishly lowered it to 10 right before they froze changes to quantity.
Even if you had 25 or have 10, I believe the HHL will automatically reduce you to just 3.

As of this morning I have an order number and show an order of 10 "processing" and my credit card has been charged for the full amount.

It would be nice if the mint used a counter on the coin's page to show how many remain available. Then again, the "watchers" would only add to the website chaos.

Finally got my three but what a Joke of a website.
It was giving me errors about Java and Cookie blocking and then having to click and hold down some Red Button for a few seconds...that then started holding itself down...
I was for sure that I was going to lose out but at 12:10, I finally rcvd my order confirmation page...
US Mint - You need to DO BETTER!!!
If the mint requires certain security aspects of our internet browser be turned off - then they need to make that perfectly CLEAR days before they know one of these big days are coming up!

I disagree, I found the ordering process far easier, definitely an improvement. It only took me 3 times to get checked out. In the past it was a nightmare.

WOW... You disagree but it took you multiple attempts to check out! It was the same as the past if not worse, the site hung on every step. If this issue didn't have a subscription program. It would have taken 20 minutes for you to check out.

I am surprised you disagree, only taking you 3 times to check out, that is an improvement that is acceptable? It would not be for a private company website.

It appears @Bullsitter was closest to 18 minutes. Congratulations. My associate was close at 15 minutes We had a slow but uneventful buying experience. No red buttons no captcha no return to beginning just a hesitation in each step. For those who had trouble were you signing in as a guest or have existing account. We have an account
I can't believe it, got through on my phone with 2 out of 5 bars, first time go about 12:05, a little slow but nothing like what I've experienced in the past. Ordered the limit of 3.

I am NOT an expert. That said, it appears that the select items available for enrollment do not normally become "unavailable" on release day.

What a joke. I tried 10 times each time getting to the final step and getting an error message instead of an order confirmation.
I don't see how they improved their site at all🙄
Tried get a second one just now and "This product is currently unavailable."
I disagree, I found the ordering process far easier, definitely an improvement. It only took me 3 times to get checked out. In the past it was a nightmare.
I got checked out at 11:01 with no errors. By far the smoothest transaction on an issue like this!

Ah, but that's the key...
3 times is FAR ABOVE average for a US Govt website!
