Bad handshake, check your internet, insufficient funds, too much rain where you live...

I had a couple of glitches... including one that put five in my bag.... Had to go through hoops to get it back to one. Final success.... Happy Dance here.... Cheers, RickO

It kept ping ponging me between the payment info and shipping info page. Filled out both pages several times before I could "Place Order"

When I placed the order it said the page I was looking for was not available, kept doing that until they went out of stock. Have been looking forward to these for years now, hopefully they won't be too bad on the aftermarket.

Me too, it bumped me when I entered payment info and now it says unavailable. I guess I’m going to pass on purchasing these. Good thing I don’t collect Morgan’s as a series.

I got close a few times, but close still meant no luck. Eventually got the "sold out" sign. Congrats to the ones that go through! If nothing else, it means at least there is interest for these items, even if it might only be short term.

I went in with the right attitude. I would try to purchase a "CC" coin.
Got to add it to my cart then went to check out and as stated above, there were two coins in my cart.
I was in the process of fixing this issue when bing, bang, boom, the sight went down.
I closed out the website and will try in another day or not.

pretty annoying. was all set at noon, got the right prompts, hung on payment, crashed page, crashed page and No Inventory. sucks. will have to try harder next time, no way in hell am I paying a premium for these when some jackwagon posts 500 through NGC to get a bunch of MS68s

I also got more on my order bag than I had wanted but was too scared to monkey with it so got the slightly higher number.

I thought I was buying 3 ended up with 6 CCs I must have did something to increase it to 6. I tried for the O. I thought I missed out by hitting “ bad gateway” roadblock when checking out. Check my email and the mint conferred both my orders. Go figure.

  • air4mdcair4mdc Posts: 938 ✭✭✭✭✭

I kept getting a “gateway error”and product not available” at 1210 CST. I sure was hoping to get one of each. Disappointing for sure. I’m happy to hear that several members here we able to secure an order.

The Mint's ordering system would work so much better if they didn't have to worry about all those pesky customers. Oh Well. :'(

Interesting to see that many others had the same issues I encountered. That tells me it was not my computer skills (Not that I even considered that :D;) - been working with computers a couple of decades before the internet was invented). So, it seems the Mint site still needs work. I truly hope their IT department is working on this... or else contact Amazon and request help from their people. Cheers, RickO

I don't bother with the mint...

If I want one, I will buy the real thing.

    Sad for many though.

At 175K per issue, I do not believe these offerings will hold their price. The flippers will make their money, followed by a decline to a slight premium over melt.
If prices do hold then that is an indicator of a very healthy market - able to absorb 175K of each issue. That is good news for our hobby.
That said, I'm thinking these 2021 issues will be available for modest money in the near future.

I'm not sure what you guys are buying, but if I need one, I'm sure I'll be able to find one in a couple of years. 2021 Morgans? Peace dollars? Both?

I had the same issues with the mint website. It would not let me log in my account till they were all gone. Very disappointing. I can see why a lot of collectors have given up purchasing from the mint. That is not a good way to encourage new coin collectors.

Consider yourself lucky. The mint doesn't care about you at all. The sooner you buy elsewhere, the more sleep you will get at night. Good luck. (and welcome to the boards).

After five error messages, I made two decisions: (1) if there was a 6th error, I was done. (2) if so I would not be buying these on the aftermarket. 6th error occurred. I am done with this product.

When Amazon has a problem with its website, it fixes it. When the Mint has a problem with its website, it issues an apology. Year after year it issues an apology. How many years have we put up with these problems? Problem after problem, year after year. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing and expecting a different result. Well, when I use the Mint website, I try to place a simple order and the website kills it. So I have decided to stop trying to use this website. If the Mint can't fix their website so that will process a simple order, then I am done.

It seems to me from all the posts on the Mint issue, that your order was doubled so if you ordered one coin your cart loaded two and if you ordered 3, your cart showed 6. Did anybody get the right number into their cart without any issues?

Mine doubled, the hardest decision of the day was buy double what I intended or adjust and hope I can still check out. I Adjusted, and my order succeeded right as everything sold out, never got a confirmation on the mint page, but I have my emailed order confirmation. I did encounter over 20 errors and was working on 2 browsers until one succeeded.

What sold out was what was left over after the dealers claimed their birthright.

With each new issue and botched roll out, the Mint risks turning away more and more customers.
