Too crazy to be fiction

"Fully struck and free of even the most trivial blemishes" (other than the un-full strike and missing rim)

I'm told that "the most trivial blemish" standard is now classified as run over by a train.

And just a few months later, presto-payo, a new fully struck (not fully struck) free of trivial blemishes (except for the missing rim, of course) crossed over and upgraded pop 1 finest known sticker taxi.

Maybe the upgrade is due to the new, extra bright color it has now!?!?

I want to know the dealer that's making this happen....I have a few coins to send them! And the best part, I know where to find the people that will buy them afterwards!

It's a shame what collectors are allowing to happen and supporting with the demise of grading standards.

Okay label and sticker chasers, start stomping your feet! :'(

    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/12933954#Comment_12933954

And, I would like to make the following salient points:

    1. NGC graded it 67
    2. PCGS graded it 67
    3. CAC approved of the 67
    4. Who the F is KellyGreen?

This leads to the obvious conclusion: The coin is a 67 and KellyGreen is not a professional grader.

    QED

PCGS graded it 67+, not 67. And just because someone disagrees with the grades doesn’t mean they’re not a professional grader.

My knowledge of errors and such is about nil... so I would honestly like to know.

Maybe before the thread is locked EOC or Fred can chime in... PM will suffice as well.

Not dramatic, but I think it is a cool coin.

It's auction like this one that make me not feel guilty about paying full PCGS price guide for CC Morgans

Yes, that is a rim clip, and a particularly nice one. I would think on a coin this high a grade that would have little impact on the hammer, in fact it might hold the value down.

I'll add that it's not hard to find a 1910-S with a rim clip, I have a couple and I've seen a few others, though none in the state of preservation as this coin.

CAC ignores the + and so am I for the sake of this.

So, are you suggesting that we should take KellyGreen's opinion over the consensus of the others? There's already a thread on this coin. Creating a second thread to lodge the same set of complaints is nothing but trolling.

There are now 3 completely different professional entities all agreeing on the grade. Clearly IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!

Just because CAC ignores the plus and you’re choosing to here, doesn’t change the fact that PCGS graded the coin 67+. If you’re going to list who graded it what, why not be accurate?

I’m not suggesting anything about his opinion or that he’s not trolling. I am, however, disagreeing with your “obvious conclusion” that based on your list of four salient points, someone isn’t a professional grader.😉

For future reference... CAC see's this as MS67 when they render a decision?

Since they stickered the coin in an NGC 67 holder, a PCGS 67+holder and they ignore plus grades, yes.

What if the OP invited us all to a party and no one showed up?

I apologize for my post. Every iota of attention the OP is shown encourages him to think that he is entitled to even more attention. You are enabling a TROLL.

To me, the grade on this coin is just about as puzzling as this............

"Gold is money, and nothing else" (JP Morgan, 1912)

"“Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither.“(Benjamin Franklin)

"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)
