someone is going to use the word "spooned"

I'll loosely describe the thickker/taller rims and decreased diameter to to some assault on the coin all around the edge. perhaps someone with some time did use a spoon to tap all around the thing. perhaps something else beat it into submission.

it is a damaged dime.

if no one wants to take it as money the bank will redeem it.

Also the reeding is made at the same time the coin is struck, there is no further process.
