Cool

You are correct I believe, I'm pretty sure none of us have one of those!
Quite the interesting look for a piano, and certainly an interesting display.

Did I miss a Liberace estate auction? Peace Roy

Super Cool. Are those actual coins or just pictures? Imagine some keen varieties there? Maybe even some "Accented Hair "?
"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Holy Cow. Nope. I have none.
I've been wondering where my piano is. But, yea, you're correct that is something that I don't have.......anymore.
Cool!
The scientist in me wonders how all those coins would affect the sound exiting the piano...
U.S. Type Set
Very cool, alot of work. looks great.
Or Prince.
Cool. I cant touch that one
Oh heck, I got a couple of those old things.
How much total face value do you think is on that piano, as well as how many varieties? Would certainly be cool to hear the back-story on that one................
You know, that would be something Liberace would own.
Pete
I did acquire a Steinway upright piano decades ago and learned after the fact that it was older than the one sourced from The White House that resides in The Smithsonian. Eventually it got traded in toward a Steinway midsize Grand, but the collector in me would like to have kept it.
that's certainly unique
Looks like something that would've been in the Knott's Berry Farm saloon. Cool!
Anyone else ever been in there? I remember that the bar's counter had coins embedded in it...that was the early 80's and I think they were Morgans...I used to work there.

They obviously added a thousand dollars worth of coins to be able to sell it on eBay as rare “Grand” piano.
Yeah, this is in my living room now. (nah its not)
Well now... that would be fun to check out....Looks like there would be something for all interests.... Cheers, RickO
How do you know what I have??
Great piece. For a true coin collector!
I wonder what the actual coin face value is?
Wayne
Kennedys are my quest...
Assuming both side panels are decorated with the same coins, it's over $600 face value. The total could be significantly more if the back and top of the case are also decorated with coins.
@Kurisu It does look like something from the Saloon though I haven't been there in years and years!!
I thought the piano was a fun random bit of numismatic ephemera when I saw the photos! It would go great in a @ricko coin room. The Tarnished Piano!

@SiriusBlack .... Indeed it would look nice in my coin room.... I thank you... You could get it for me in time for my birthday....
I will take a picture with it and have it framed for you.
Cheers, RickO
PMD...I’d give .05 on the dollar because I would taking all the risk...
Or Mark Russell (except he's still alive, but that looks like something he'd have played).

I am hoping that no one is taking the OP as a challenge.

Very cool.
I think I found the perfect home for the piano here in Virginia City, Nevada:
Does that house have a garage?
Nice!
Are they gold plated?
The bar/counter at the cafe in the Wall Drug complex is covered with silver dollars which are under glass of course.
...by far that’s the coolest sub-$400 paint job I have ever seen on a vehicle
Are they Morgans? I haven't been back to Knott's since the 80's when we still lived in CA.
Coins are Neato!

Somewhere in my travels i encountered a bar or casino called the Silver Dollar and the Bar and tables are all covered in Silver dollars embedded in Resin. I want to say it's in Carson City or Reno, but it's been too long. May have even been in Virginia City.
I haven't been to Knott's since the 70's. Disco New Years Eve 1978. Virginia City/Reno/Tahoe in 1986. I do remember hitting a jackpot and walking around a hotel casino in Vegas with a couple of those plastic cups full of silver dollars in the early 90's. Wish I had kept them now.
Is that piano in tone or are the coins perfectly tuned?
Mostly Morgans IIRC and I think some Peace dollars, all common dates. This is at Wall Drug in Wall, South Dakota and not Knotts.
The piano keys are tuned. Does that mean the piano coins are keys? (meaning key dates)
Yes, Wall Drugs South Dakota. Been there and saw those silver dollars. I have pictures here somewhere.
Found them!
Brilliant!! I didn't think of that one!
I would have done a better job straping down that piano for moving!
Gotta admit - have never seen one like it.
