Iβm just not seeing the upside here. It is possible to enjoy coins raw and these just arenβt worth submitting. The Roosevelt looks like a $5 coin. The 1991 Eagle isnβt toned enough to be worth a premium and the 1889 looks mark-free but I think youβve got a QC coin there. Even if it comes back 64 thatβs only a $90 coin.
Before you send them in, perhaps do a survey and see if people here think any of these coins is worth submitting?
What grades do you think these will get?
Thatβs awesome!! Letβs us know the results!! I just sent my first ever submission out last week. The anticipation is killing me already!!! Love the 95 eagle!!
I have to agree with @david3142
These do not look like "winner" candidates for grading. I know you have sent in coins for other purposes before, but if you're shooting for grades or toning with a grade, I think you'll be throwing good money after bad in this case.

Cheers, RickO
I also agree.
BUT, Joey does what Joey wants. It's his money and his collection, so he may do as he wishes. As long as he's having fun.
People who want to underestimate the slabbing phenomenon, with or without registry sets, really need to pay attention to all the Joeys that are out there. There's a number of them on this forum and even more "in the wild". There is an allure to "making" the slab that is not at all tied to the value of the slab. I'm fairly certain that somewhere out there is someone who has spent more money on plastic than coins and his whole collection isn't worth the cost of the plastic.

The Joey I know would submit each one... separately!

Good luck Joey! Don't let the negative Nellies get to you! They are your coins and your money.

Kennedys are my quest...
Actually, I had to send two separate submissions. One for the more moderns and one for the older coins. So maybe two mint boxes?

Hey- You didn't tell me you submitted 10!! Can you start a new thread and post the results?
Good luck with your submissions Joey!
Question for those of you within the sound of my voice:
I'm new here. Don't you guys post pictures of your coins for opinions here, before you submit them?
No

Why not?
Some do some do not, this forum is is heavily weighted to dealers or vest pocket dealers vs collectors.

Oh shoot! So I'm in the wrong forum?!?!?
Because it's my business. If I had something odd or unusual, I may post it. If I had a question about something, I may post it.

I like how you think Joey! I promise you will be the 2nd to know the results!ππ€£
Because it's my business? I understand that.
My question was: "I'm new here. Don't you guys post pictures of your coins for opinions here, before you submit them?"
Your answer: No
I didn't know you were answering for everyone else.
It'll make sense soon enough!
You said "question for those of you within the sound of my voice"
Only answering for myself. How could I answer for everyone?

π€£πDon't let him get to you! I used to engage with him until I learned there is an ignore feature that blocks me from seeing his posts. It's been much more relaxing for me since then but unfortunately it doesn't block it if someone replies to his post so every once in a while I see his posts. There is another guy on here that I ignored too but I will let you discover that guy for yourself ππ€£
Yes, because my answering a question is offensive. BFD

Dude, all I did was answer your question? When you followed up, I explained why I don't post submissions.
LMAO Be careful, you only get 5 ignores. Don't waste them.

No. You're in the right place. There are endless questions answered here, discussed, and pondered over. If you sift through it all, it becomes a treasure trove.
In my opinion , we all learn more when the OP comes back and updates the same thread with results.
Good luck! If some come back details or a lower grade than you expected, oh well. I always use it as a learning tool. I will study the coin and try to figure out why it graded the way it did. I have gotten much better at evaluating and grading coins because of this.
Thanks. No doubt, all my questions have already been answered here somewhere. The problem is finding it. I wish the forum was broken down into more defined categories.....Lincoln Cent section, Jefferson Nickel section, Merc Dime section..etc, etc..
It's not that kind of forum.
Hey Joey- Sorry, don't mean to HiJack your thread with me off topic conversations here.
No problem at all. Carry on all you want. Lol.
About the certain coin/s you were talking about. Just search through the forum. I'm sure you'll find that particular coin/s your looking for.
