I've waited 40 years to add this coin to my collection.

Not as impressive as some of the coins I see posted here on a regular basis, but living on a fixed income limits ones hobbies..
I have however been after an example of this coin I could afford and liked for over 40 years
It finaly happened this weekend, yes it's a details coin (scratch on wings and a rim ding lower right corner)
But these are details I can live with
PS.. yes it is this exact coin. don't ask me why the dealer covers the id when it's the only one he had in stock lol...

There is/are one or two pieces that I have drooled over for years, so I know how you feel

I like how the prong camouflages the rim ding 👍🏻

Very nice! Looks very clean. Oh, my bad. I only scanned your post and went straight to the eye candy. I re-read your post and see now where you noted the damage. Awesome coin!
40 years is a long time. Congratulations and enjoy!
Congratulations!!!

Congrats!!! That’s a beauty
Good job bagging it after all this time. Thanks for sharing. The scratch and rim bump couldn’t be in a better place. With the overall look of this coin, I could overlook them too.
Enjoy / Congrats!
I have looked 20 years for a coin for my set.
Gives you a bit of a High.
Those are about the least offensive scratches I've ever seen on a coin. This is a great coin, thanks for sharing.

You sir, now have a 95-O Morgan. Cool!
One of the great things about this hobby is that kings and commoners can both have equal amounts of fun. Actually, the guys at my local club stuffing their change finds into albums seem to be having more fun than the uptight "high-end" collectors sometimes.
Congrats! It’s not the $ spent it’s the joy of The Hunt.
Congrats on your new addition, I'm sure that is very satisfying after such a long wait.

Congrats on finding it, good looking circ patina.
Someone from my generation. You're singing my song. Congrats!
A holed 1895-O (also VGish details) from my father's boyhood collection was my first Morgan dollar

Congratulations sir. If I may ask, NOW WHAT ? I've been after a certain coin in a specific grade for quite some time ( only 7 in that grade, 2 higher ) This will complete a set of my favorite series which has been my # 1 goal for awhile. I've already asked myself, when I find it, NOW WHAT ?
There's still the white whale out there for me... the 93_s and don't get me started on large cents and colonial coppers and that evil pinetree shilling that keeps slipping through my fingers
This is one white whale but more then one more await me

Why so long?
Already answered on first post,
thank you
Cool. Thank for posting.
@Mrweaseluv I also think it is cool that you already have, with mine just added, 29 "Likes" on your initial day of posting. Maybe a new record?
I'm not sure what I'm most impressed with - your patience, your persistence, or your outcome. That's a wonderful coin. Congratulations on your prize and I wish you many, many years of enjoyment owning it.
The most i've gotten on a single post here certainly. I don't post much here, as it can be a bit intimidating. It's a much larger "audence" then i'm used to

that's gotta feel really good - congrats on your acquisition; long time coming 💪🔥
Well make that 31 "Likes" now and it is still April 12th, the initial day of your posting, in my time zone.
Congratulations.
OK, now 34 and still 4/12/21 here.

Cool! Dang your old! You waited more than 2x how long I've been alive to buy a coin... That patience is honestly phenominal.
Superb addition. Great representative of history that did its work in circulation, but retain meat !!!

As a Morgan Dollar collector I love circulated Morgans and that is a great looking coin and really happy you got it!

Patience is a virtue, and sometimes the only way we can get what we really want. Congratulations!
