I have filed three reports and YET eBay allows this? Are you kidding...? This seller even has the gall to note that 'proceeds go to charity' W-*-F

I think this auction may also violate the $2500 dollar rule.
Ebay requires more than one or two reports sometimes to take down an auction. One person reporting the same coin three times only counts as one. You need to post bad auctions here as you have this one, and we will get it down with multiple reports. Thanks for this thread. Even so, I do not think a person interested in a coin such as this will be fooled by this auction listing. But you never know. "There's a sucker born every day".
It is a special issue that marked the closing of the New Orleans Mint that has recently been discovered.

Only a person, with more money than brains, who has put zero effort into researching this coin, would be taken by this. Unfortunately, if we have a repeat of the late 1970s, when people were desperate to buy “things” because the stock market had gone bad, you might see more offerings like this, and people getting taken. Back then it was AU coins that “became” MS-65 coins that were sold for high prices. I saw “coin investment portfolios” that were worth pennies on the dollar relative to the price paid.
With the proliferation of counterfeits, that might be the vehicle for scammers this time.

I actually wonder if eBay really pays much attention to those reports. I filed a report on this coin several days ago and radio silence. It is really aggravating that someone can flagrantly get away with this.
e-bay cares about one thing $$$$ as long as it doesn't hurt the profits they rake in too seriously they could care less but if it starts eating into those profits they will act
and feedback is useless on e-bay

Most every time the seller says something like 'some proceeds are going to charity', the seller is a scammer.
Now I said 'most every time' not all the time, so don't flame me for picking on sellers donating to charity because there are legitimate ones on Ebay, but usually it means bad news.

@DarkRage666 Starting bid is $4,000 and the buy it now price is $6,500. I am just shocked that eBay doesn't care. If it isn't down by tomorrow morning, I am going to call them. This is ridiculous.
It plainly says "COPY" right above FIVE DOLLARS so technically, it's legal.

The seller did end the auction and eBay apparently nuked it afterwards. I say that, because prior to my previous post, I checked and the listing showed as ended by the seller. But now, the listing shows that eBay took action.
I promise, I know the difference between the seller ending a listing and eBay nuking it.😉

It's not in Ebay's interests to leave fraudulent listings up for others to see. If it's gone, it never happened.
Legal in and of itself but this was misrepresenting what the item is. So the misrepresentation is the problem for me.

Misrepresentation is a problem for me as well. I'm merely pointing out that the astute buyer should look very carefully at what he is buying. Caveat emptor.
No comments on how ginormous that "$5 Indian" is? It's the size of a Double Eagle!
