Just noticed that this is being sold by Salvatore Germano of S.G. Rare Coins, Inc. so it has the Salvatore Germano provenance
Stack's recently sold one from Allan Schein's collection for $7,200 but they covered up the serial number so it's hard to tell if they are the same.
Here's the Stack's description:
MEXICO. Gold Medallic Caballito Peso, "1907". Moonlight (Dan Carr) Mint. ANACS MS-70.
Mintage: 12. Utilizing a 1947 50 Pesos restrike issue as the host (KM-481), this incredibly alluring and wondrous fantasy is the work of Dan Carr's Moonlight Mint and the consultation of Allan Schein--author of Mexican Beauty/Belleza Mexicana - Un Peso Caballito. Just 12 of these EXTREMELY RARE, engaging works of art were produced in December 2019, the dies having been faithfully based upon the original caballito issues with a few modifications in place in order to further enhance it aesthetically. Heating and re-softening the host allowed for the expansion of the planchet from 37mm to 39mm, with each then being struck four times at 400 tons of pressure in order to arrive at this enchanting end result. For the aficionado of the popular caballito series, exotic exonumia, or advanced gold issues, this example undoubtedly is a must and, given the paltry mintage and perfect designation, would not offer many opportunities to equal it.
Estimate: $7,000 - $8,000.

Thanks, it sat on some yellow post-it notes on my desk and got buried for a few weeks. Toning looked ok so I left it on the post-it notes a few more weeks. It's been in a mylar flip for apx 2 years.3 -

Huge thanks to Dan @dcarr for all his efforts on making the Broken Sword Peace Dollars!
I have quite a few of these, most are blast white which I love. Here's my MCMXXI with are some antiqued and circulated finish ones.
It's really awesome to enjoy all these raw together.
The 1919 is one of the pastel colors mentioned by Dan in his catalog. Mine is the only one I've seen and I'm on the hunt for others! It's a lot more vibrant and reflective than shown below, but that's due to the lighting.
A majority of the [65] “circulated” pieces have an attractive pastel color that developed unintentionally during the circulation process.

NO also the seller doesn't offer any returns. I would only consider a low grade 1916-D mercury dime if were certified by one of the top 4 TPG.

I also have a collection of every year, and one or two extras of the following years.
The current release is the only one that I have purchased an antiqued version of, as well as the regular issue.

Being a LC fanatic... I couldn't resist...That is an interesting piece, although it is not one that I produced. I do not know who made it. I only made one die pair for my over-strikes, and my version has a different size date and different positioning of the date and letters than the one shown above:

Dan Carr is a true modern day artist. I’ve said that before and it still holds true today. I’m always impressed with his work👌

Here's the 1815 that Dan made, one of my favorites.Mrweaseluv, compare the "5" in 1815 on your cent with the D. Carr cent. They are noticeably different.
And if you look closely with a magnifier, you might be able to see the underlying date on your cent.

I have a random package that is showing up as being delivered tomorrow (via usps tracking). I assume it is from moonlight since its from CO.
