If you could spend a leisurely afternoon with a single collector here, who would that be?

Way to many here with similar collecting interests to decide on one but since you asked I'd like to visit ricko so I could check out his collection and verify that none of his coins are toned.

But not until Spring so I could bring my fishing gear and hit some of those Catskill trout streams.

Well, I’m thinking of a couple, but there’s a good chance coin talk would be only a minor part of the conversation.

My pick would be Cardinal. Hope I could see some of the collection.
Longacre would be another excellent choice.

CladKing or wonder coin.

Pick their brain on moderns.

My choice would be @ricko as I believe after coin talk we could talk about other common interests if we tire of coin talk.

I would enjoy spending an evening with Roy Langbord and over dinner and drinks discuss the 10 1933 Double Eagles that were the subject of the extended litigation.

Cameonut, Modcrewman and others who collect in the same niche area I do.

Keets, Crazyhoundog, Skyman, NorCal Jack, Mad Marty, Russ, Lucy Bob are also on the list.

Many of the dealers are on my list, along with many of the collectors who swim in the deepest end of the hobby pool and who particpate on the forums.

Also, many of the persons whose talents include coin photography, plus many of the persons who research and write about various aspect of the hobby.

Finally many of the persons who are responsible for creating and operating the TPGs that are so central to the hobby of kings.

Challenging to select just one, everyone here is so awesome 😏

I'm imagining a venn diagram of : collections I'd never get a chance to view in hand otherwise, (prominent among those impressive ones already mentioned and others not yet) assuming we'd sit down and view them) ....

..other collectors with interests similar to mine with whom to discuss detailed historical and techical nuances of the coins..

..those who are actually currently manufacturing coins and other PM collectors' objects and spend the day learning and making a bunch of custom ones..

and folks that would be a riot to hang out with and chat about life or do some of the amazing non coin hobbies some of you are into

There's quite a bit of overlap, too many to name names unless we're voting and maybe it happens someday

It's going to take some time.......but I think you are on to something with the venn diagram

I don’t know many members here well, so I’d have to go with Dan Carr. It would be very interesting to tour his mint.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a good number of forumites over the years...sadly, a few are no longer with us.

Mfeld for sure I’d still like to meet and pick his brains.

Actually, I was going to say BillJones. Now there is another good reason, he could tell us everything that Cohen told him about Breen.

The subject never came up.

For those who are unfamiliar with the story, Roger Cohen and Walter Breen have a very public argument that spilled over into the pages of "Penny-Wise" the Early American Coppers club magazine for many months in the 1990s. Breen made some snide comments about some of the things Roger wrote in his half Cent book, and Roger took great exception to it. The only time Roger mentioned Breen to me was at an EAC convention. He compared Breen to one of the hookers on Time Square.

All of this started after Breen published his "Giant Red Book" on half cents. That book prompted criticism from many quarters, in addition to the Breen - Cohen feud.
