Two For Tuesday

This thread is starting on a "twofer Tuesday" but can continue on whenever you want. No rules, other than to post a pair from your collection that you like and that goes together well.
I'll start:
Coin collector since childhood and New York Numismatist at Heritage Auctions.

@Stella Neat idea for a thread. Hopefully it will catch on like the active and long-lived Toner Tuesday and North/South American Coins Thursday threads.
@Cocoinut Very nice USPI pair!
Jeff
Fun idea @Stella. Here's another Cuban Peso twofer. This one of the 19th century variety.
@mvs7 Love it!!!

Latin American Collection
Thank you, @cecropiamoth and @mvs7 !
Great variety so far. It is fun to see what everyone comes up with.
What other cool duos do you guys have?
I really like this duo:
8 Reales Madness Collection
Latin American Collection
A pair of 4 reales.

Pair of medals from Wurzburg (1779)
Speyer 1/2 and 1 taler (1770)
Here is a funny one........NGC was 0 for 2 on these holders. First, they dropped the ball on the "1768" 1/12 taler attribution; it would have been amazing if they predicted the death of the arch-bishop 6 years later. On the 1774 holder, Phillip Karl died in 1754. The piece commemorated the death of archbishop Emmerich Joseph von Breidbach zu Bürresheim in 1774, the archbishop of Mainz from 1763-1774 and prince-bishop of Worms 1768-1774.
1768:
1774:
Bamberg sede vacante medals (1746 & 1795)
That Schnoz looks even bigger in gold!
My current "Box of 20"
Not the best example, but I like this one.
And the more modern partner.
And this was just fun.
Since @Bob13 posted the 1/2 and the 1, I offer the 2 and the 3:

I missed Tuesday but maybe I can be excused as these are also “sunfaces for Saturday”. Here is a pair I feel pretty lucky to add to my collection. Now, anyone have the 1 escudo??
Those are fabulous coins, @scubafuel . I wish I had the 1 Escudo to match!
Here is another two-fer: two poultry medals from my bird collection.
Couple for @brg5658 - 2 Mariengroschen and a Taler
My current "Box of 20"
A pair of CCs
Way cool!
8 Reales Madness Collection
A pair of 3Ks
1943(P) Guatemala centavo (brass), PCGS MS65
1943(P) Guatemala 10 centavos, PCGS MS67
Jeff
A couple of favorite (out of only a small handful I have left) Mexico cap & rays 8R which are not currently in my Mexico branch mint 8R type set. Non-registry set keepers!!
1881-Mo MH, PCGS MS64+PL. To date, PCGS had given the PL designation to just 11 cap & rays 8R. Three have been graded higher at MS65PL. Strange look for a PL coin with all those heavy die cracks.
1892-Mo AM, PCGS MS64+ (pop 1/5). An old favorite with color which I've not posted in some time.

@1984worldcoins
Is 1984 your birth year or perhaps the year you were married?
Cheers/Jeff
@cecropiamoth , I was 16 in 1984 so, probably, very happy times, at least that is how I want to remember and I feel that , somehow, it was a special year for the world in general, for the pop culture, etc, so that is why I picked this year for collecting.

@1984worldcoins
Can't argue that!! I was 13. Playing baseball all summer, fishing every morning, generally causing mischief. The King of Pop, Prince, Madonna, Van Halen, Twisted Sister, Night Ranger... The Karate Kid, Sixteen Candles... Fun and happy times, formative years.
Welcome to the Forum!!!
Jeff
Thank you very much and I agree with you on all those people and band names, such happy and special times, the 80's! Also, I am glad that I have finally found a good place to share my collection, this forum is huge , lots of nice and well informed collectors!
Thank you again.
Martin.

Awesome coins! It's fun to see the same design toned so differently side by side.
Thanks a bunch for that! Would be cool to assemble a full toned set of them since it's a short run but I will just see what shows up.
