New arrival in today mail.
Curious as to others thoughts on how this graded.
Feel this grade is extremely harsh, can’t see anything in hand to warrant a 64. I personally feel it deserves a 66 and will be putting it through again.

That looks like a serious example. TrueViews sometimes make it a little hard to tell the depth of luster, but that is nearly mark free example. I'm not afraid to say it, looks like it could be 67, and that'll get my vote.

Luster appears a bit muted, so I went 66, but 67 wouldn't surprise me. Pretty coin.
At first I thought it could be a proof because of the lack of abrasions. I spot just the one. The color bumps it though. MS 67 IMO.

Very nice. My Washington set 1932-64 is tarnish free. On purpose. But I like that one. Lovely!
Nick at lower cheek/mandible area but still the EA and clean fields have me saying 67 easily, a keeper I bet.
If an in hand inspection of this quarter reveals the slightest wear on the high points of the coin I would grade it AU67.

I think the PCGS photos highlights the color at expense of the luster. My guess is the luster is full. I went with 66, but wouldn't be opposed to 67 if the luster is all there.

I voted 66. I was tempted to vote 67 and would not be surprised if that is what it graded.

At grades lower than 67, in particular, the coin’s value will be largely tied to its color. Why bother resubmitting it?

I would assume a higher grade makes the color even more valuable? I mostly deal in Roosevelt’s and take 2 dimes of the same date with identical eye popping color, one in 65 and one in 67 and you’re looking at a $40-$50 dime becoming $400-500.

That’s the main reason I mentioned grades lower than 67. In the case of a 1941 quarter, the PCGS price guide value for a 65 is $7 higher than a 64 and a 66 is $40 higher than a 64. The cost of grading and postage might not be recovered even if the coin grades two points higher. And for a low value item like this, when it comes to value, the color is more of a factor than the grade.

Looks 65+/66 even on Monday morning.
They should re-grade that one for free because they missed something "bigly". There's no way that's an MS 64 in the images presented.
Might go MS65... Luster does not seem to be there (pictures can be misleading)... I do not count tarnish as part of a grade, since it is surface damage.... And no, I do not care if anyone else does...Cheers, RickO
“There's no way that's an MS 64 in the images presented” - I think most would agree. But we don’t know what it looks like in hand. And even though it’s not always the case, many more times than not, there’s a valid reason for such an apparent discrepancy.

I imagine a gold bean would also have a bigger impact on the resale value than a bump in grade, assuming the coin deserves one. It's also cheaper than a regrade.

ill go with a 66
I see some strike weakness on both the obv and rev, (of note is how blended the eagles left leg is to the tailfeathers) also the new photos suggest there might be some light marks in the left obv field that the TV does not show (one of the reasons I do not like TV's). I think it might and could upgrade but it would need to go to a 67 to really be worth it and I just don't see that to be the case, MS65 is the max imo. But its your money to spend so if trying for an upgrade is worth it to you then go for it, please update this thread if you do so as it would be interesting to see the result.

Have to jump a couple grades to make it worthwhile financially but if it were mine, I'd crack it and resubmit. IMO, minimum 66.
Just send it to CAC.

Luster.. I feel like they are looking for coruscating luster when they assign the high MS grades for WASHIES
There are slews of MS66 and higher graded examples with no more luster than that coin appears to have.
