Wow. So, another terrible picture, but that's okay ... the last one got plenty of colorful jokes! :p

I see a lot of meat, enough to say if it straight grades it's an EF40 candidate. Maybe a bit baggy and beat, but still.

Also, I think it might straight grade. None of the marks I see suggest otherwise, and I think the wonky color and surface appearance is PROBABLY the picture.

XF details. Excessive marks for the grade. Probable cleaning attempt.

XF details, from the amount of crust around the design and the bright fields I am inferring that it's been cleaned

XF polished. Some of these have the appearance of an old plating (not the case). A surprising amount of Barber halves (compared to Walking Liberty halves) were cleaned, especially for the upper circulated grades. A wonderful DANSCO type coin yet certainly not one I'd submit.

It's been through a lot. I would pass. Buy a coin (or house or car etc.) knowing someday you'll probably sell it. That coin will be a tough sell.

IMO the can was black and some previous handler tried to remove it all except for the black next to all the devices, correct.

Yep.... As we used to say when I lived out west.... "It looks like it has been rode hard and put up wet." 40 probably. Cheers, RickO
