The next post can still follow your first coin. And it would be nice if the coins were owned. Thats what makes the thread unique!

BTW, I love the basic idea around the thread. You got me thinking about a 1892-1915 and limited only to Barber coins. That would be a popular one I think.

Yeah, It’s a J-450 pattern and the close-up photos are from from GreatCollections. I think the photos are pretty spot on to what it looks like in hand. One of my favorites!

For 1871. In addition to the decimal coinage pesos, cap and rays 8 reales were minted at the Alamos, Chihuahua and Hermosillo mints. A special year for me, my -100 year birth coins. Here is a Zacatecas mint peso and a Chihuahua mint 8R. I'll add in a wildly cracked up 25 centavos for some fun.
