How many times have you dropped a coin and what was the outcome?

Have you ever accidentally dropped a coin or somehow damaged it? If so how and to what level of severity?

A dozen, and on the twelfth it turned to dust
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I’ve dropped a bunch, but none of great value. When I was younger I looked at raw coins one after the other and had to learn to put space between myself and the next coins in line (or ones I’ve already looked at) because I wouldn’t really damage the coin I dropped...I damaged the coin that had the dropped coin land on it
Didn’t necessarily drop a coin, but took a UNC 1892 Morgan out of a flip and and ran a staple across it.
Staples are no longer allowed near my coins anymore ☹️
I heard the zing of a coin dropped at a large coin show once. This show was staged in an arena with a smooth cement floor. the sound of this silver coin sort of bouncing and skimming off of this floor caused just about everyone in the room to stop and listen, facing the horizon as each of us knew exactly what it was we were witnessing.
I was at a local auction that had some nice raw coins. I was looking a a gold dollar that was certainly unc but forget the year. I turned it over to look at the reverse and the small thing just just fell out of my hands hit the table rolled off hit the cement floor and continued to roll under a long row of chairs. The place went silent and everyone stared at me. It was the most embarrassing numismatic moment ive ever had.
I had to do the walk of shame and retrieve it under a chair and bring it back. I looked for damage but luckily didn't find any
I have little suction cups in my finger tips ... So I can't drop anything.
I work with my coins in a carpeted area.... Have dropped a few, but no damage. Never dropped a raw coin at a show or a shop. Cheers, RickO
I can imagine a group of crooks at a coin show. One drops a cull Morgan on the concrete floor and when everyone looks, the rest go to work. Don’t want to give anyone any ideas, but I think the group here is pretty honest.
About a dozen (once happened on big ticket one during TTR raw coin submission process) they would roll around but no damage.
Coins are tough actually - designed circulate take lots abuse.
More than a few I'm sure ... I think they became parking lot finds!
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

"Hammered" several entombed by TPG's ( I won't name names) in my garage, which has a concrete floor. One managed to free itself, and hit the concrete...No damage, it only was a 5" away from the floor.
I lost track. I’m heavy handed. Fortunately no really bad outcomes.
Dropped a 2 oz silver coin, sounded like it was going to go through the floor. No damage to the coin.
I dropped a coin one time, which hit on its edge and rolled off with my dog barking after it. I could afford a good laugh — the coin was a common date Washington.
