My new monster

Went up to the New Hampshire show today. Had a nice peaceful ride enjoy the ride. Looks like the show was set up very well for Covid. It was good to be at a show. Some nice coins on the floor and not in view for anyone to see where I found my Newp.

Both great looking pieces. I really like the design of draped bust gold, but see it so infrequently that I usually forget it exists until I get a reminder.
Did that piece from from CRO by any chance? Just looks like it's everything John likes... old, original, green label, CAC. Nice pick-up!
That 1826/5 $2.5 is a rare coin

1826 is a dream coin... Only 32 estimated to survive. Only 5 CACd.... That thing is fricken sweet!!!
Yes the 1800 was from CRO
Thanks for the compliments, I was looking for a nice type coin or another draped bust $5 for the set. Had no intention on picking up a fat head. I love the design and wanted one but when I saw this coin I was blown away. Not only buy the Beauty of it, the rarity, pop report, cac pop report. Much more than I wanted to spend or had but I pulled a rabbit out of my free CRO hat. 😎
A welcome addition to the type set.
Thanks again
Fantastic Coins. CRO delivers.
Nothing like spending the equivalent on a Volkswagen of a coin. Did that a few times this month.

Nice gold
awesome
Very nice, old gold. Great pickups.
Fantastic looking coins. Congrats!
Nice! 1826 $2.5 is BD-1 (only variety of the year); 1800 $5 is BD-2 (most common variety), blundered dentil at E of America.
Wow ... Real nice coins!
Well you sure got that out of your system.
Well, damn. Poverty sucks.
Very nice, like them both ... Draped Bust Gold are a prize in and of themselves, but Fatheads are so dang cool!

An amazing pair of pickups Pickwickjr! I love them both. That 26/25 in particular is out of this world rare and a cac’d beauty!!!

Congrats and well done! Both coins are awesome.
Superb !
Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Liz, GFRC , CRO and Northeast Num. had nice coins on display.
GFRC had a nice 1799 $10 , 1802/1 $5 and an incredible 1857 seated dollar ms64+ cac.
It was nice talking to John and Dennis at the LSCC table and meeting new dealers. A great day for sure.
That 1826 is an exceptional find and will provide you years of enjoyment. I love the smooth even circulation wear and rich toning on the 1800.
Congratulations on some excellent coins. Sounds like it was a great show.
And I'm guessing that the back story of how you acquired the coin is probably as amazing as the coin itself...congratulations!!
Beautiful coins both. That 1826 is just awesome. Thanks for posting!
