Shout out to David Kahn for my NEWPS (1806 Bust Half PCGS XF45)

Some years ago, I purchased my first bust coin - a 1799 Draped bust Dollar from Evan Gale at APRCI. This week I purchased what I think is the perfect companion bust half from David Kahn. I don't profess to be very knowledgeable about bust coins, but both of these sure look like they have a lot of detail for XF45 and XF40, respectively, but I don't really care. I think they are both awesome and I intend to keep them for as long as I live!

Yes, Dave is a good freind of mine. He is just plain out top knotch, honest as they come, and full of integrity.

I met him many years ago when I had the old shop, He was on his way to the fun show and I was the only shop open on New Years day on his route down that day.

He does get some great stuff, but he works hard to get it, road dogging for years, but met a lot of folks and contacts along the way, and now he gets a lot of stuff sent to him as well.

Its funny, becuase our local small show in our community has about 10-15 dealers, and dave will come by sometimes when he doesnt have a larger event conflicting, and some of the dealers always ask me when were setting up "is dave kahn coming" They know he pays fair and is great to work with.

That 1799 has great detail for the grade. Great eye and great coins. Congratulations.

Those are the kind of coins that have a bright future even if the coin market slowly declines as the collector base ages. They are not in the same class as "bank wrapped rolls of Unc. 1964 Kennedys." :)

Nice pickup Vic! I looked at that one more than a few times (the 1806 half) and almost bit. Heck of a good looking coin, and that 1799 dollar isn't so shabby either!
