    @Landon6

    At the very top of the page is a contest sponsored by PCGS and the prize is a gold coin. The deadline is 8/24 - if you have not already entered, make sure you do. ;)

    Nice coin. Just a heads up that you can purchase an entire 2000 proof set (10 coins) for $5-10 on eBay and elsewhere.

    Nice coin, but unfortunately not worth $1.00...live and learn.

    Very nice coin... However, for the investment, I suggest you look at entire proof sets, available for reasonable prices on ebay and dealer sites. Or just check the BST right here... Cheers, RickO

    The maximum amount he could lose is 95 cents. I wish I could say the same about some of my purchases! :D

    @Landon6 I like the coin. It appears to be a nice example of a modern proof, with good frost on the devices, deep liquid fields, and it gives you something to hold and study and learn from.

    Take your purchases slow and try to find the value in all of them, whether it's monetary or otherwise. Knowledge will carry you much farther in this hobby than a single coin will.
